Take a look at the Filipino App Store guys...not even Sonic 1 was spared. You'll notice it's been pulled from all other stores and a new Sega Forever version is on the PH Store. Phantasy Star II, Altered Beast (RISE FWOM YOUR GWAAAAAAAVE!), etc...looks like they're all coming back. sobriquet Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 30, 2015 1,216 1 38 #3 sobriquet, Jun 21, 2017 Just checked the US AppStore and I found Sonic 2, 4-1, 4-2 and Sonic CD. I guess they've pulled Sonic 1 here as well. It does kind of suck but I can understand why they would want to have all their stuff under one roof so to speak. What concerns me is that they use the word subscription. It makes me think this is going to be something you have to pay for monthly to have access to whatever premium content is offered. Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #4 Kainamor, Jun 21, 2017 Really? I think that sounds amazing. For me it's perfect, how long can I actually play a classic sega game? I'd say a good month or two. Then new classic titles come along. Perhaps repeated every so often in case you weren't burnt out the first time around. I personally am welcoming it. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #5 metalcasket, Jun 21, 2017 Nah, don't worry about it...it's just a bunch of free to play games that are set to be released tomorrow and on a monthly basis. There is slot of great games that could be released from all the sega systems(dream cast!). anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #10 anthony78, Jun 21, 2017 To be clear, it looks like Sega is allowing the download of previously paid games that seem to have been removed from the App Store due to the Forever program. I'm downloading Sonic 1 to be on the safe side as we speak. Hopefully that will remain the case for any games in this program that people previously purchased. metalwastebasket Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2017 161 55 28 #11 metalwastebasket, Jun 21, 2017 Your Sonic 1 will be updated to the new SEGA Forever version and unless there are a couple of #### ups like in Crazy Taxi and Sonic CD's case, you'll get the IAP upgrade for free. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #12 anthony78, Jun 21, 2017 Oh, ok. Did not know that. Wonder if we will need to have these pre-downloaded for the free IAP thing to work. As long as things go smoothly, it will be nice to have peace of mind that they should be continually updated. Curleh Mustache Well-Known Member Dec 19, 2010 993 9 0 #13 Curleh Mustache, Jun 21, 2017 It's showing as avaialable in the US AppStore if anyone is interested. I downloaded it myself and so far my only complaints are the lack of widescreen and the music is a little choppy. Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #14 Kainamor, Jun 21, 2017 Music and game are very choppy for my iPad mini 2, in fact unplayable as it is for me now. Also the mfi controller isn't working. On the other hand Star Phantasy II is running great. doone128 Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2009 110 0 0 #15 doone128, Jun 21, 2017 I'm not updating until that is confirmed! Looks like they are honoring purchase of the previous release in the new version! They will release quickly a fix but in the mean time thousands of sheeps will be foolished...as usual. Apple products are making my life more and more complicated and I'm tired to spend more time than ever organizing my ipa files library. Without a jailbroken device it is imposible mission not to update by accident. chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #19 chief78, Jun 21, 2017 Now if they can give us the Shinobi series! brianj22 Well-Known Member Dec 14, 2016 180 0 0 #20 brianj22, Jun 22, 2017 He's a kid as well as a chameleon.
