Very fun game. My only complaint is the length. It took me just under two hours to complete with 2 game–overs at bosses. Worth the price though.

Congrats in this case, but i honestly dare to doubt that the majority of all the players will be able to do reach your goal. Omg, or i am the only one that can't do it ? I'm at the final boss and (for me) he's a pain in the a$$. Will take me a while to shred him to pieces, i guess.
On ipad looks just great! I purchase it for my ipad and is just great! Hope someday they release Cave Story on ipad!
Funny, I tend to get more into emulation when I'm not actively playing games of other formats. I really don't understand the point of SAYING on a forum that you won't buy something because of stuff like that though. If someone asked me if I would, I would do likewise, but I wouldn't just throw it out there unprompted like it's a huge deal everyone is going to care about. It just should be pointed out that it gets an eyeroll from most folks when someone who doesn't update iOS, won't buy non-universal or can't play a game on their antiquated phone shows up to tell us about it. You wouldn't expect someone who hates RPGs to post "I hate RPGs!" in every thread about an RPG and this is fundamentally the same sort of thing.
Well, I beat it in 3:00:16. Probably pretty slow. It's quite funny how you unlock NG+. I'm guessing Boss Rush is accessible when you beat NG+?
Amen bro! Everyone complaining about the length was a bit of a turn off! I too like you am stuck like hell in the last boss!!!! The difficulty curve in this game is awesome, and I love how the lives/game over is handled. (All upgrades and money stay and level progress to latest level, but you must start from the beginning of a stage when you die!) this ads the difficulty and jeopardy that I miss from old nes snes games, but the levels are short enough that you are always happy to start again!!!! Don't question buying this if the 2hour only comments were a worry for you, I can vouch that there is a lot more game time in here for you!!!!
Does anyone use the secret Kero Blaster? Range is a bit weak, but it can shoot thru walls! Also, what weapons are you using for each boss!?
I did boss rush in 6'22'73. Could be much faster; there were some deaths. In the end, I mostly use the laser. I use the bubbles against the fish and against the first part of the train fight. I mixed it up more during the first run though where one stage of a weapon seemed better for that point in the game than others. The spread shot seems like the go-to for short range power initially, but then it's more the fire that does that and the maxed spread seems kind of weak for a boss. Oh yeah, I do prefer the spread in any form on that eel machine boss. I don't remember if that one's in boss rush or not. I think it's "Kuro Blaster." Are there any other weapons hidden like that?
What an epic fight that was, phew ! Needed a full life bar, the jar and the jacket to beat this motherfrogger of boss, what a grand final ! Meanwhile i also managed to unlock boss mode, but this will take way more attempts for me to beat it. I also found just that one weapon but i hardly use it (too low range), but honestly, i didn't even realize that you can shoot through walls. And please, what is NG+ ?
