Dark Gate is highly, highly recomended. BUT, know that it has no ipad-native support before you dive in.
Dark Gate has a complicated job system with some areas that you must have the correct job to pass. To me this is an excellent idea and I'm looking forward to playing it (once I get "time" to pull Dark Gate out of my backlog). I haven't tried them all, but my favorite so far has been Machine Knight. My one complaint about the Kemco games, however, is the IAP that seems to be built into each game. Normally, each game runs up to $8.99. While not necessary to play the game, I found it annoying in Symphony of Origin to walk into certain dungeons, only to be informed that I didn't have access to them and required IAP purchase. For what the game cost, I felt it a little absurd to block out portions of the game in this manner. Again, not necessary to complete the campaign. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #77 nightc1, Jul 16, 2013 Reviews on this one echo that this game too has IAP only extra dungeons. I don't do IAP for anything so I may pass... which will make this the first kemco game I've passed on. iPadisGreat Well-Known Member Dec 10, 2012 2,390 0 0 #78 iPadisGreat, Jul 16, 2013 My Kemco backlog was such that it was quicker to hit the App Store to see if I already owned it than try to figure it out... Is that a good thing or bad? nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #79 nightc1, Jul 16, 2013 Well, when it was mentioned that this was the first $0.99 sale on it, I knew that meant I didn't own it . But I still hit the appstore and looked through the entire lineup of kemco rpgs to make sure nothing else was on sale that I didn't own (which at this point is only some of new games from this year). indalico Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2011 660 0 16 ohio #80 indalico, Jul 24, 2013 According to appshopper, two more of Kemco's are at 99 cents for the first time, from $8.99.
