That's odd. Everyone I know like this more than Sudoku.

 

I'd say my favorite Kakuro on appstore continues to be the one by Gameloft. It is part of Plantinum Sudokuo $2. That's my advice. Yes I love Kakuro.

 

I did have the KakuroX Lite but deleted it because I didn't like it. The trouble is, I can't remember why I didn't like it - I'll reinstall it and get back to you on that one....

Kakuro Mania: link £1.19
Clear and easy to use; however, no record of progress / scores.

Platinum Sudoku: link £1.19
Much better value as you get Sudoku as well as Kakuro! I don't like the method of selecting numbers (a little ring of numbers 1 - 9 appears when you tap a square). If you don't mind this then it is an excellent version - you progress through Easy / Medium / Hard unlocking levels and, apart from the Sudoku already mentioned, there are also Challenges to unlock.

KakuroX Lite: link Free (KakuroX is 59p)
Another clear and easy to use version; again, no record of scores / progress.

Kakuro (the one mentioned in the first post): link £2.99
Relatively expensive; however, as well as being clear and easy to use, it does keep a record of your scores! Maybe wait for a price drop on this one?

PS - could anyone please advise how to neaten up iTunes links??? i.e. so instead of a long rambling url I can have a nice snappy app title? Thank you!

 

I've been betatesting the Kakuro game that is mentioned in the first post, so if you have any questions, I still have the most recent beta on my device so I can help.

I'm not the developer but since I have been part of the development process I'll obviously tell you that this is a very feature packed version of Kakuro. However, you could have seen that yourself from the screenshots and the description in the app store.

Are the codes gone already?

If you're only on your iPod Touch/iPhone you should be able to redeem a code in the iTunes application on your device as well.
(On the Downloads tab there is a "Redeem" button in the top left.)
