I wasn't even planning on buying the game since I got so bored of the first one, but something told me I should take the risk and I'm glad I did. The sense of freedom is pretty much unparalleled. Anyway I've whipped up a few videos so far, nothing really special yet, just experimenting really: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel I don't wanna spam the thread too much, but there are more on my YouTube account
Ahaha nice choice of music in the first vid! What was the first song called? It escaped my memory. I enjoyed the demo a lot, and goofing off was fun, but the missions worry me. I'm not sure if the story would suck me in. I might get it though.
Nice videos! What's the name of the song at the end of the first one? One hilarious thing I've noticed about this game is that no matter how high you fall, as long as you hit the 'Open Parachute' button just before you hit the ground (so that you still hit the ground. Hard), you take little to no damage.
Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon by Queen The story isn't actually that long, there are only 7 main missions, but factoring in all the time it'll take to unlock them you're looking at over 10 hours game time... then add the rest of the content in there and it's probably closer to 100 hours. Don't Stop Me Now, also by Queen haha, all I have on my MacBook at the moment are Queen and Led Zeppelin so I wasn't exactly spoiled for choice but it worked out alright. Even stranger is the fact you don't need to open your chute at all, you can simply grapple the floor and reel yourself down!
Man... now you make me want this game even more... I ended up spending my money on Oblivion, Army of 2, and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, but I still have about $125 left, some of which might be going towards DeadRising 2. Plus, when I was at Gamestop the other day, I couldn't find it. Crap.
I couldn't agree more about the voice acting. I was scrambling for a way to skip the cutscenes just so I didn't have to hear Bolo's man voice. Actually, if they got rid of her, this game would probably be perfect. Then again, I'm just judging based on the demo, but it looks like it would be.
If they managed to tie together music, story, and gameplay together into one magical title, it'd be indeed a glorious day (jesus christ, I sound like a LARPing nerd), but I guess they were kinda busy working on the island *shrugs* I so wanna pick this up.
hopfully i get enough easter money to pick it up. thank you for introducing me to that awesome Queen song
i played the demo, which is basically 30 mins of the full game. I didnt really like it though. the action was fun ans the grapple is cool but it didnt seem like there were missions. I'm sure there are, but demo isn't very good, so put me off.
I bought it Thursday I think, but I have just played 2 missions and did some free roaming, because I want to play it on my new laptop which will arrive on Tuesday. I play for about 15 minutes a day now, it's hard to play something else when you have such a cool game installed . E: Thanks to your video's I'm going to play it now. . E2: LOL! I stole a jet and wanted to take off, but I was in a hurry because weird military people were shooting me. Guess what happend, after a ride trough the bushes, I finally took off. It was quite funny, a palm tree was somehow attached to my wing . And after that my jet exploded. It wasn't even on fire!
