I apologize if this doesn't qualify as belonging in the forum, but I figure that TA is the best resource to go to when in need of assistance.

Anyway, I recently wrote and submitted a relatively long and in-depth review for a game in the app store. Carelessly, I did not save the review in any other place in my computer and just clicked "Submit". Minutes passed and then hours--my review had still not appeared on the product's page. I am a bit concerned if my review somehow got deleted or lost in Apple's database, considering I spent a fair amount of time writing it.

This may sound like a nutty question but does Apple filter out certain reviews (spam, profane reviews, etc.) before re-submitting them to the application's page? Or is the review 'supposed' to show up instantly upon submitting? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did the same thing for my first review, but the next day i frantically checked and it was up. I think the company has to just allow it or something like that, because at first it won't be up but later on it will be.

they scan over everyone's reviews before they get posted. THis can take anywhere from 1-2 days. Sometimes if you check through your i-device to see if its there it will show up already but won't show up when looking from your computer until later.

It is also possible that your review was longer than a novel and they realized that your word count was so excessive that they instantly realized that you also had the publishers last name and blacklisting you forever was their only option to save the world from acid being served cornish style.

Also Apple has a huge server cluster, so posting a review, and having it span across the entire cloud server is much the same when the developer changes the price, or a new app is submitted, it takes a few days for it to become available to everyone everywhere

    give it time

Yeah this happened to me my first time too. But then the next time I checked it was there. I guess it just takes a while for apple to look over them.

Another thing you could do is check your iTunes account for the reviews you've submitted, and see if it's there.
