Started playing the free version. I'm not sure I get how I'm supposed to know who to craft things. I can see how to craft the few things that are in the manual or whatever its, but is the rest a matter of stumbling upon a combination that works? I ended up with a "field note", or whatever it's called, but I can't seem to read it. I tap on it, but nothing happens.
As you play you find different crafts. These crafts get added to your craft book so you have them for future reference. If you want to just learn them and dive right in you can go to the Junk Jack wiki and find them all there, sorry don't have the link right here so you can just google it.
Tap and hold on the note until it gets a green border. Then release. This will 'use' it. Same process for using (eating) food items or bandages or anything at all in your inventory. And yep it's all a mystery until you find craft notes or look up the wiki, in good Minecraft/Terraria tradition!
I noticed when trying to make a door that there was a metallic-looking hammer icon in the top left and I couldn't make the door even though I followed the 'recipe'. Does that mean I need a particular type of hammer? What kind, I couldn't really tell from the icon. The wiki says I need a workbench to make a door, but doesn't say anything about needing a hammer. Cheers! Loving this the more I play it.
Yeah this game is awesome and only gets better with each update. And my 4 daughters love it as well. #
I cant mke a copper hammer to save my life. I have made the anvil. I stand right next to the anvil I use the pattern _C_ CW_ __W Where C= copper ingot and w= wood. What am i doing wrong??
Craft wood by itself to make wood planks, and then craft 2x copper ingot, 2x wood plank to get the copper hammer.

Wow, that's quite a bit! Any news on the Universal update? I wanna get this game really bad but have no space on my phone...

Goodness that's a generous Changelog. Gotta love it when one of your favorite game gets better. Thank you so much for the update. I'm very much looking forward to its release, and further supporting the game with whatever IAP will be available. Thanks for ditching JJ's cigarette too!
