Developers are close to perfecting Mining and Building in Junk Jack... But what if you have built your dream home and are done mining??? Now it's time to just have FUN!!! -Trampolines (How far will you fall and how high can you bounce?) -Swinging Vines (Jump on and swing over baddies) -Ramps (build them to direct water, lava and more!) -Skateboard (Use the new ramps to gain speed!) -What are your ideas for FUN items in Junk Jack??? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/845/sboard.jpg http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/829/tramp.jpg http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/833/swingw.jpg Just "kinda"?!?.... I wonder why those pics don't show up
Wow that sounds awesome: They wrote on twitter that the "Universal version of Junk Jack is nearer than we thought"
Help I'm trying to make a forge and I can't find stone. What does it look like? Btw I have the lite version.
Any news from the dev on release date for the update? Went to their forums and am no more enlightened than before. Guess I have a real desire to blow things up. And I've mined so much, every day, that I feel a need for something new to keep the game fresh.
Dude, just no. Are you serious? =\. This has to break a thousand different forum rules. (directed to Zenkuntal)
If I recall correctly, the Lite version includes only a handful of features that the Full version does. Stone is probably one of the features they withheld.
I have been mildly addicted (mildly ...) to Terraria (PC) recently and the news of a universal Junk Jack version made it an instant purchase this morning. Looking forward to getting into it on the iPad especially.
Just got this and love it! Terraria on my iPad, yay! Bit of a problem though: I simply haven't found any coal in my new game yet. It was abundant when I tried the LE version but so far not seen any - I thought I had mined a fair bit actually but there's none in my inventory so it must be something else. So I have no torches yet. When I try going underground I get stuck pretty quick without torches and there's no way to end a game and spawn back at the surface as far as I can see? Second question, why is there a camera button that shows a larger view of the map, and why does it only appear every so often when I check the map?
1) You can try the other worlds to farm for coal (your inventory stays between them.) 2) It's time-limited use. Glad your enjoying the game. I always liked JJ better than Terraria, which ends up being less about building and more about combat.
Yep that's exactly why I drifted away from it after it clicked with me that there were bosses and baddies and I was supposed to be working towards some end-game. I mean I know I don't have to, that's the beauty of these games, but it was nagging at me. "You've been playing this for three weeks solid and you haven't even found the first boss let alone killed him" I'd think. Just got a bit of effort. The whole 'getting stuck in the dark without coal' is annoying. I don't actually want to go to another world to get coal from there, it feels hugely like cheating. Is there really no way to force yourself to spawn back on the surface other than dying? I suppose it would negate the risks of digging stupidly deep holes if there was. What does coal look like? I've dug LOADS of earth blocks with blackish round bits in it but never get any coal out of it.
Oh, thanks for explaining the camera. Got to say that's a design decision that doesn't really make much sense to me, especially alongside the general loveliness of this game; add a useful feature... then restrict it's use for no immediately obvious logical reason. Weird!
We added that function to avoid cheating, but since a lot of people asked to remove it the next update will have the timer removed
Oh... How can one cheat looking at a longer-range map, though? It's great to see the overall world. It doesn't show areas you haven't revealed, does it? And it doesn't even show the whole world as far as I can tell, unless the world is smaller than I thought! I'd have said encouraging and enabling players to mine other worlds for resources is far more of a cheat, if anything. I mean I'm not complaining, I just don't get the map thing
Okay, I am now absolutely convinced the game is not saving my coal chunks. I have dug dozens of earth blocks with black circular blobs in them and not got anything to show for it. Are they not coal blocks? BTW I've been flicking randomly through this thread and am impressed at the amount of player requests that you have responded positively to. In an 'emergent' game like this that's just fantastic, and was one of the reasons I bought the full version. Keep it up!
