first steps I started this game recently. I can not get the first steps of achievement in the game center. Why?
I really love all of the after-release plans that this game has. Just had to mention that. It is wonderful to see a game get so much love from its dev after its been released.
Because the item was removed from the game due to incessant whining from people who couldn't deal having to "struggle" for a half hour. Now you just start out with the craft book automatically and around 20% of the recipes. The achievement is un-achievable for those who start now.
Awesome that there is so much being planned to be added. Love that the snow etc is coming but if it is a Christmas theme maybe it will be a surprise and is already submitted? I mean time is getting short on how much longer it will be a timely addition. More importantly I want to see the update so I can stop throwing so many pickaxes. Usually it isn't a problem but when they get thrown down a deep abyss it is pretty frustrating, since it usually a brand new, fully green bar golden pickaxe that goes off into the darkness. Also, I reiterate my frustration after finding my umpteenth starry night painting but not YET having competed ONE, not ONE statue. I found some other cool stuff like a mushroom pick and a mayan pick but the statue? Lots of middles and bottoms but (this time I am going to not walk into it) still no HEADS. Then to make matters worse, I think I spotted a head BUT it was in the forbidden zone unreachable by underground special force. I tried to get it down and let it fall to maybe roll to me but no such luck. I am still headless.
God I hate this game. It almost made me miss my bus! Literally, it was rolling down the road when I managed to jump in before the guy closed the door. All my mates were texting me saying get on the bus, but I was up in the computer room addicted to Junk Jack. Yeah, this game is SOOOOOO good. Been playing it non-stop. I am still beginner, just made my first iron pickaxe. I am really stoked for the new updates. Keep it up!!
Yeah this is definitely my current obsession, even over all the new huge releases this month such as IB2, Chrono Trigger, and all the other stuff I have on my iPod. Once Bug Princess, GTA III, and Venture Towns comes out I'll have to take a break though.
Yes it is totally addicting - I am breaking blocks like crazy! Mainly to see what is hidden. I don't gripe about that at all. Just the part where I can't find what I need and way more of what I already found! A trading with friends thing would be cool - like a gifting of items? Too hard to implement? So, the other thing, if there are new mobs and stuff to find, will they show up in a world already created or will we have to create new worlds for that stuff to show up in? Well not the mobs but the new statues and stuff. Just cuz I have one world with my house, one with a very meticulously clearing of the underground and one to go fetch more supplies. Unless there are more worlds being added I am maxed out!
Damn, the game just crashed on me and I've lost everything in my inventory. Thankfully I saved a lot of my stuff in chests (sapphire and iron phew!), but my workbench and anvil have disappeared. I lost all my wood (about 200) and tons of stone. Plus the new modifications on my house. Ah well, back to chopping down trees I guess... Edit: I've also lost all of my notes detailing how to make stuff, which is a tad annoying.
Aw sorry, I thought I caught you in time. I think it has happened to us all though - that is how I found the restore items button in the first place! I too lost all my book and bunches of wood and stone. So welcome to the club. I know it is a hard initiation but it is an elite group.
I haven't bought this yet, but hearin stuff like this doesn't make me eager to take that $2.99 plunge. Maybe when all the bugs are ironed out I'll jump in.
You shouldn't worry. They have an incredible back up system implemented. The only thing you lose are things you don't save. Before this update you could lose things but at this point you really really don't. You have a back up from right in the app and you can also save a copy to your computer with the file share option. Its very thorough. That is NOT the reason not to buy the game! I would be straight with you too. At the start I didn't have any trouble when others did. It did crash on me a couple times after and I didn't know where the backup restore button was the first time. But now that I know I don't worry in the slightest. Just do a periodic back up and keep building!
Thanks for the heads up. I definitely take your word. I've been playing a little terraria and this looks like a nice mobile version(even if they play differently). Hey Pixbits, give New England Gamer a hug or something, he sold me on your game.
