To make any upgraded tool (iron and up), you need an Anvil not a workbench. To make an anvil I iron ingot S stone _ nothing [_] [_] [_] [_] [_]
For me this kind of reminds me of animal crossing in a strange sort of way. It's all about collecting and displaying stuff, in a world you can always keep coming back to. (and I spent about 4 years on an off playing animal crossing) I'm still only using one world to dig and build in so far, so there's still plenty of things I can find to always upgrade my house and displays.
I seriously haven't found one block of gold yet, and I've been down DEEP. Are some worlds just barren of gold or what?
I asked this earlier and someone said it does end but I've dug really far down (about 200 blocks down i think) and haven't found the bottom yet so it's huge, and that's not even taking sideways into account. To find the Gold an silver etc don't forget to go sideways not just down, I've found plenty of gold but ive not found much iron, then again looking at te size of the map it could all be there just hiding away this game looks enormous.
Did the poster say how we would know we've hit the bottom? I've remade several worlds and dug pretty far down. Every time I end up running into a layer of some black material that seems unbreakable, even with a mithril pickaxe. I had just assumed that was the bottom, but I didn't know if there was a way to break through that.
^ There are edges where you can't walk any further. Interestingly, you can still dig a little off to the side, even though you are unable to move there.
Bwuh. Reading about this game depresses me - but just because I don't have the money in my account as of now and may not for a bit. Glad to hear it sounds like it has lived up to expectations, hopefully I'll eventually be able to pick this up. Great job, Pixbits.
Use a hammer, preferably iron or stronger. Here's my house, featuring: -A tower with rooms themed around the five underground biomes -An incredibly expensive upper portion that used up most of my gold and silver and a lot of my gems -A completely unnecessary hellforge room which makes it inconvenient to use my anvil.
One thing I REALLY want to see is the ability to stack chests one above each other. Is there any way we can get the ability to overlap chests and bridges, in the same way we can overlap bridges in ladders? It would compress my storage area immensely, as now I keep extending down floor by floor with a lot of wasted space.
