Use a hammer on those items to remove them from the wall.

+1 for playing it in 2x mode on the iPad.

I was playing on my 4S last night and couldn't help but feel that the interface was a bit cramped.

I tried it out on my iPad 2 this morning and found that the graphics look great, and my ability to see what was under my finger while dragging items around has greatly improved.

I think I'll stick to playing it on iPad. Hopefully we get some sort of cloud sync once they go universal. :)

So what this game is about ?? You build a house?? And the tools you bring it from searching nearby ?? I don't understand the hype??

Right now there aren't clear goals. A similar game, Terraria, combats this by having mega bosses that you can fight, or NPCs for you to "recruit" to your "town." Junk Jack apparently will get quests and things in the future, so it's up to you if you want to invest in the product before then. I think it's a fun distraction at this point.

Also, part of the hype is that the game is bleeding with character. The presentation is really well done, the animations are all great, etc.

My only issue is with some of the touch interactions. Too many rely on "tap and hold" like to discard an item. This is bad. There needs to be a way to discard an item that is in your inventory, and not necessarily in your quick bar.

So I just forged a golden hammer to smash some of the stronger treasure chests I've been seeing, and it turns out the golden chests have awesome stuff inside. In one chest, I found a golden falcon, something called an "infinity topaz" (two, in fact), and a large jewel of some sort. Granted, I have no idea what any of these things do (if anything). I've just been putting them on shelves.

I just loving the exploring and collecting stuff. So far I've came across underground mushrooms, pyramids, jungles and then there's that thing in the photo I posted (some type of statue) and chests to find.
It's great just digging and exploring and then taking your loot back home, I'm really going to have to make a nice looking home soon as it still looks like a hole in the ground.

Been playing Minecraft since Alpha, picked up Terraria recently, and I like Junk Jack better - it's just cleaner and less fiddly.

I'd love tap-and-hold to become auto mining, discard drag to an icon where the magnifying glass currently is, and instead of having the magnifying glass, just display what you're looking at all the time anyway. (Should be plenty of space for that at the bottom of the screen.)

One thing I do miss from Terraria is being able to change your character.

I'm clearly missing something obvious here, but how do you get stone? I can't seem to break stone with my wooden pick axe and to craft a stone pick axe, I need stone... what did I miss?

it's hard to differentiate between stone and boulders. i don't think you can break boulders. stone will generally be grouped together, with a lot of it. boulders are smaller, take up only 1 to 5 squares (if grouped as a large boulder).

that being said, i swear i've seen something that is stone but also not breakable.

I have never played Minecraft and I'm loving the game. I agree with guy who said that the book & paper recipes should come in earlier. In fact, I'd say that the first three should be intro recipe, paper recipe & book recipe. The rest doesn't matter. That would be of great help for newbies who have never played Minecraft-style games.

Having said this, I love the idea of the game, and the addition of enemies is crucial to have something to do apart from dig dig dig :D

Boulders can be broken by a iron or higher pickaxe. Don't know what you can do with boulders though.

I've picked up a boulder with an iron tool I got from a chest... Then accidentally I placed it in the middle of my house. Now I don't have the tool anymore and can't get rid of the damn thing. :(

    Time to create world 2 and go mine lots of iron... ^.^;

Great game, but I'm slightly disabled and can't use my thumbs to tap tap tap repeatedly. Please make a "click and hold to mine" option so I can play!

About the tapping issue. I dont mind it anymore, I've found the best way to play is with my ipod in one hand and the other hands index finger for everything on screen. I couldn't play this with my thumbs.
