This is a great idea. It wouldn't make up for 30 hours lost, but maybe it could ease the frustration if we all donated items to Derprozess. I could donate some piles of basic metals, and a gold armor set. Add me on GC: Inky The Ghost.
I really hate the people that host a game then make you fall off an edge and die just to take your stuff. It's happened about 3 times now. I don't keep anything important in my inventory now. Austin363 you're a SOB!
I'm really surprised no one in beta pointed out the issue with biome items placed by a player having a chance to not drop when broken. This sort of thing makes sense in a biome, but it greatly hampers building when you are suddenly limited in playing around with your items because you may or may not be able to pick them up again. Really disappointing from both Jack and the testers.
I think I mentioned this (and bumped it) earlier and got no reply. It's a bit of a pain having to be 100% sure where to place your candlestick or risk losing it.
It's fairly ridiculous, and I don't understand the intention behind threatening the player while building.
Rule question If you die your inventory drops where that happens. If you die again before you get to that spot to pick up your dropped items is it still there? Or, because you died again, its lost forever?
Hey, I was playing and a good 13 hours in my world suddenly disappeared after I closed the app without warning or anything. This is the most annoying thing ever so I was wondering if its possible for a update to ever come out that retrieves the lost world and items??? I had a lot there
Thank you all for your care and that you want to help me. I cannot take items from anyone because for me the research is the most important element of the game. I will play from the beginning someday with no help because this game is so much fun. I have no words to express how happy I am to be a tiny part of this incredible community. Also of course the developers have no fault since it is a bug that occurs so rarely. Honestly now I'd like to not be bothered so much this forum but i did and I apologize for that.
icloud should take some notes from the jailbreakers app datadeposit. i have been using that for over a year, and only one game couldn't be transferred.
I've been playing off and on for a couple days and am still stuck on Terra. That said, I've been playing in the normal non-peaceful mode. I think the thing which must be slowing me down is the way over the top spawning rate of enemies. It was fun for awhile, but its getting to be a drag as I can't move more than 10 blocks without having to attack something. I'm really curious how beta testers wouldn't notice that. I really like the game and its progression aside from that. I like having at least a single portal piece. I'm going to wait for the update to rebalance the spawn rate before I return. I guess I could play peaceful, but I do like taking out enemies, just not such a ridiculous amount.
You can control the spawn rate by putting up torches and you can make your environment safer by setting up traps for enemies. In other words, the problem is not with the game, it's with you.
To be fair, the majority of the beta testers who actually provide feedback are pretty hardcore fans and players. The spawn rate is high, but it didn't seem *too* high, if you understand me. So, it just wasn't something they noticed (similarly, it doesn't seem like simple crafting got the thrashing it needed since most testers are using the grid, result: the bug that slipped through with the game crashing if your inventory is full and you have the "keep last slot empty" option enabled). Then you give the game a general release and, hmm..., I guess having half a dozen mobs at your door 20 seconds after sunset isn't fun for the masses Been playing the 2.01beta and I am pleased to say that it is much better. Not too little, definitely still mobs aplenty, but it is unusual that I find myself dealing with more than 1-2 mobs at a time.
