It can... on PC, or if you like building. I'm not a huge fan of the difficulty nerf on the iOS version. Items are way too easy to acquire. I played around 60 hours before getting all of the items and building what I wanted to when I first played it a year or so ago. Edit: Oh yeah, and I also played with 3 other friends. That helps a lot.
I haven't even played the PC version (I really want to at some point, when I get a PC :/) and I can feel the difficulty nerf. It's kind of annoying, but it's still an awesome game by iOS standards.
Is there a way to keep your chest/items/structures safe in multiplayer? Also, can you make an endless lava pit?
You could still play Terraria for months. Having seen everything is not normally a reason why people stop playing crafting games. I will grant that Terraria with its combat focus does lose a lot of value when you remove hard mode and hardcore difficulty and reduce world size and spawn rates like in the iOS version, but you could still play it as a building/crafting game. Fundamentally, Junk Jack X is no different. If you focus on seeing all the planets then you could probably do that in three days too, and high end armor would be a side effect. To enjoy JJX for longer than that you need to have other goals, like building a specific structure or farming all the plants or collecting rare items or armor. JJX does have a lot to offer in this regard, but Terraria also has more than three days worth of things you can do with it. If you think getting to a specific point means you beat the game, then this genre will just not work very well for you.
I read a lot about both this and Terraria before getting JJX and am a total newbie to this kind of genre! You won't be disappointed. Super smooth controls with a steep learning curve on the many items in the game! Love this game!
There are no ways to keep your things safe from multiplayer. When I play BlockHeads multiplayer, people would go trolling my house and take everything away from me. If your having trouble keeping your chest safe from others, don't put it in a chest for multiplayer sessions. Either make a world just for chest/item/structures for yourself. Don't invite random people to your best world. You can share pictures of your world through. I'm not really gonna use my primary world as multiplayer. Right now I'm looking for Xeno portals. Pieces found: 1/3
There are many reports of people griefing in multiplayer worlds, so I think Pixbits' priority is making a system to stop making people griefing. I wouldn't play multiplayer with random people until that is fixed...
I'm just going to share an experience. I went mining with a random person and we found a portal piece and he/she made a lava pit and trapped me in it as they took the piece. Never played mp since
This is my way if you need help with finding portal pieces. NOTE: I recommend that you put peaceful mode or you will die A LOT. What you need(For finding portal pieces in Terra(Or Earth)): Iron pickaxes or higher Iron shovel or higher Iron hammer or higher(So then you can break the portal chest) TONS of torches(Depends how long it take ps for you to find the 3 pieces) Well, if your trying to find portal pieces in Terra, make a new world, call it dig site or anything you want to name, then dig deep. Don't go too deep, or it might be hard to find biomes since I barely find any biomes in the deepest part. If you found 3 pieces of the same kind of color, get out of the world, delete it or use it for another digging site for the other planets. If you are finding portal pieces in the others planets rather than Terra, this one will become a longer step. It's almost the same as if you're digging for Terra, BUT, remember, you placed the portals on the digging site, so you will HAVE TO GO BACK UP TO REGAIN THE PORTAL. If you delete it without getting the portal back, you will have to start all over finding the pieces of that kind of color or you won't be able to enter that planet in adventure mode. In the further planets, you will need a better pickaxe/shovel like gold. Gold seems useful for the first 3 planets. Not sure about the even more further planets. But something might stop the gold tools from mining or digging, so find some better minerals! Also, I have the mining helmet, which lights up the night, so it might you will need the sapphire ability or you will have to hold a torch. If you walk while holding a torch it will become dark so be careful! EDIT: WHEN I MEAN TERRA I DON'T MEAN Terraria. So keep note.
That's what happened when I played multiplayer with someone in The BlockHeads! They burned my wood house down along with some of my toolboxes!
That's like one reason why I don't go digging for portal pieces with some random person. I went solo digging and I'm in the third planet without any help in need!
Lmao that's terrible, but funny. It would be awesome if there were mini games added, or if we could create our own Like create a map for racing since the world loops around, or a gladiator match where you have to kill the other player, stuff like that
Once again, for those sig-less people using the TA app: I know this isn't an Add Me thread, but y'all sound like you need friends.
If I get killed along with my items gone because of a gladiator match, I will never play multiplayer in this game again.
End Game I just picked up this game because I enjoy Minecraft, however I am having a difficult time trying to figure out what the end game is?
Well, I'm going to have to eat my words, because this game is actually good. The controls aren't bad, but I still don't love them (I play the first JJ and never liked them either. It's definintly more exploration based then I thought, but it's still more building based than Terraria. I like the multiplayer, but I wouldn't want to host worlds on it. Some person actually gave me a full leather set of armor and that was awesome, but I again wouldn't want to host, only to join. I'm still gonna have to vote Terraria, but this game is a REALLY close second.
Awesome, thanks. Totally forgot that there are keys. Sadly there wasn't anything cool in the chest. Next question: how far apart can I put torches without mobs spawning?
