That is so true. I look at my brother's iPod 5 and there is a black sky on the very left and right side of the screen. Hopefully there might be a update that fixes this.
Yes they do. I have searched on the first 3 planets and there are different biomes like pyramid theme or others. The further the planets you go, the bigger the biomes are and the higher the chances of finding biomes, and maybe the harder it will be to find the portal chest. (In the 2nd planet I found the 3 pieces so fast.)
Loving this game so far. I've spent several hours with this game so far and I'm enjoying taking time to explore. Finally set up a new home after moving all of my valuables to a new world. Where can I find the feathers necessary for the weird feather necklace? Died one too many times misplaced steps. Also, I found a Ruins Set Sword in a chest in Seth. Anyone else seen this? I've been on peaceful mode for a couple hours and haven't tried it out yet.
That looks pretty awesome! Can you craft a bed? I don't see it in the craft recipes. I purchased the full book for .99 btw.
Yeah, it's actually in the workbench. For some reason it took me forever to find it. I guess I just kept overlooking it. It will also become your new spawn spot once you craft it and tap on it.
If you think you prefer Terraria more then Junk Jack X, then maybe you had only bought Terraria or played it before even playing Junk Jack. (Some of you have both through.) They both come out at the same day, wow... That made a "Which one is better" War. I don't want to end up in a situation like this, but if you have enough to get both and you like crafting/exploring, get both. Anyway, if you have enough only for Junk Jack X or Terraria... I don't know what you will choose but here are some things about each of those games: (Please note that it will only contain anything from iOS features, not PC or other systems) Junk Jack X: Features Multiplayer! 5 planets(4 to discover and more in future updates!) Farm and breed animals!(Some crafting are needed to farm) Polish and sharp quality Tons of crafting to build your home/world! Terraria: Fast paced(No mercy!) 10+ Bosses to fight! NPC people that can join your home! Go to the sky or face the deep darkness! 8-Bit like theme Both: Craft useful tools and items! Mine for treasures and discovery! Fight for survival! Which one would you start? Also... I'm trying to make it even so then it can be fair enough for both games. Controls might be hard in Terraria, but once you get use to it I think it wouldn't be a problem.
Nice sword! I have ruins set legs. Some biomes(maybe all?) have set items you can find. I think sets include a couple weapons, helm, top, pants and shoes. I don't see myself using set weapons because I doubt they're better than normal and they're collectibles haha. They'll probably go on display.(Armor is fine, though since it doesn't degrade.) As for the feathers, the various birds on Alba drop them. The color of the bird isn't actually very important. When I was searching for a purple feather(the last I needed), a pink bird dropped both a red and purple in the same drop haha.
Yeah, I just added it to my display area since I didn't want to use it and have it break. I assumed there was an entire set, but I haven't come across any other pieces. I do enjoy collecting items from the different biomes I've come across though. I'm quite partial to the dark glyph columns for some reason.
I found a chest on a water tile. Is there any way to open it? I also cannot destroy the Block below the chest. It looks so promising...
Does anyone know how to make the portal to go to another planet? I have 3 Seth Portal Pieces, but have no idea what to do with them.
Use a hammer to break it; if it's locked with a padlock you'll also need a key. Colors of chest and lock indicate minimum tool material needed to open/break. If the water bothers you, you can remove it with a bucket, but water doesn't destroy items so you don't have to. It's in the tutorial. Put them down like so [_][P][_] [P][_][P]
Junk Jack X has become one of my favorite ios games ever! I am a bit surprised that I have gotten so "hooked"... However the learning curve is killer! Below are a number of items I have that I have no clue how to use... I'm assuming that sprout and seeds can be used for farming which I haven't explored yet... What tool do I need for farming and how do you use these items? Cactus sprout Bamboo sprout Potato sprout Red winter tulip sprout Wheat seeds Green grass seeds Are these useful at all or are they just products of destroying trees and other blocked etc...? Cyan leaf Leaf Tree sapling Bamboo Green grass Unsure about how to use the following? Cactus meat (probably for cooking which I haven't explored yet) Ice shard Purple goo Crafting??? Raw cotton Raw clay Raw brown leather Coal lump Tin lump How do you use these? If a bomb do I just place it and run away? Stone essence Small bomb Tiny bomb Finally, I seem to have come across an abandoned mine with a cart, rope, TNT etc...? Any additional option beyond torch while exploring? I can't seem to add the TNT to my inventory...?
You need a hoe to till soil, although not all plants need tilled soil. For some plants you'll have to make wooden supports. The game will tell you what you need when you try to plant a seed/sprout, which you generally do by placing it in a quickslot and then tapping a tile above dirt with the seed selected. Everything called a seed, sprout, or sapling can be farmed. You can feed leaves to domesticated animals. Some crafting recipes use leaves as a material. Plant this to grow more trees for wood. Used in crafting recipes. There are many things you can build out of bamboo for a jungle/tropical look. Grass is used mainly in recipes for animal food. Yes, for cooking. Not sure, in the previous game you could make ice weapons but those seem to use frozen fragments now. Slap it on a stick and call it a torch. Also used for dye. "Raw" materials can be processed in some appropriate way, e.g. leather can be cured with salt and clay can be burned in a forge. But there also are recipes for unprocessed items such as raw leather armor. You can make torches out of a stick and coal that you can use to light up the map. Tin can be combined with copper on an anvil to make bronze. Running away is a good idea. Note that many explosives are in fact thrown, not just placed at your feet (of course you can throw them there if you want). You can make gear out of this, e.g. three stone essences and two gold bars in the right pattern will make a trinket that increases defence. Some items need to be broken (preferably with a hammer) before you can pick them up.
Not playing Junk Jack X until it gets updated. The background sky is so annoying. 3: even though i bought both on the same day, I just can't even get past the tittle screen of junk jack. Terraria definitely has kept my interest. Played it 4 hours straight on release. Junk jack... Eh maybe 1 minute?

I've also seen trapdoors. Immunity to fall damage is also nice. The earliest item you can make with this is the Primitive Silk Tunic.
