Surround the chest with a block type to remove the surrounding lava and then use a bucket to remove the lava directly on the chest.

    1. At least 250 high, not sure exactly how wide, but a few hundred blocks. The world wraps so you don't technically hit an edge, you just loop back around.

    2. I haven't actually used the creative mode. So I can't say.

    3. Yes there are caverns and also underground "biomes".

How/where do I make the stronger hammers? In the original you just substituted the metal and had the handle the same. I can't seem to make anything stronger than the stone hammer but can make the pick axe etc. What am I missing?

Up to iron you can use wood. Silver and up require iron bars in their place. Recipe is the same for all metal tools but done at the anvil.

I don't know how big Terraria's worlds are on mobile and it's hard to compare due to different block sizes and the overall slower pace of JJX. It's certainly not huge, if you have a clear path it takes only a few minutes to go around. I think JJ1 was 768 blocks wide and I don't think JJX is bigger?

It doesn't feel small though. There is plenty of room to build and your character is much smaller compared to Terraria (smaller than one block) so structures use much less blocks too. The world also wraps around so you never hit a wall where you can't continue building.

JJX also has five different planets that you travel to through portals, so you get a lot more room that way especially for exploring. They also get more dangerous and there are rarer materials to find and loot.

Think original Minecraft, you just build with unlimited supplies and no adventure...

Yes, a number of different "underground biomes". They're small on the first planet but get really large later on.

Hello fellow junk jack players! I recently purchased this game and havent put it done since! Im getting the flow of things but i have a couple of questions....
    1. Is there an easier way to build in adventure mode(for ex. Making a shelter, home i have to put blocks under myself.)
    2. How does the mutliplayer spawn system work? Do you spawn at that persona base? Or just random locations on the map?)
    3. Im down for some mutliplayer fun and advice my name is Exvitaexire :)

    Tapping looks tiring

I've never played any of these crafting type games before, but so many people seem to be enjoying them, I figured I'd give it a shot.

One thing that I'm wondering about though is tapping. I read through a few peoples' comments and they all said there's loads of tapping. Just watching the gameplay video, I wonder if there is an option to just touch and hold instead of tap, in order to cut down trees, dig, etc.

    Thanks!

There's an option you can enable to just hold a block to break it in JJX.

Seth. And I've just completed my Alba portal finally! The surface dwellers aren't very welcoming. But they're not too bad. Time to delve into the depths!

Alba might be pretty up top, but the things you find underneath are downright scary... I just built my bedrock mineshaft but I think I'm going to take a break from spelunking and work on building a house and a farm now.

One question for the devs: possible language localizations?
    Thanks!

Although I absolutely love this game, two of my biggest disappointments so far are a lack of above ground biomes and the lack of descriptions in the craftbook. But at the same time, knowing that the first game did have at least one above ground biome, it's something to look forward to in an update given Pixbits' fantastic update track record.

After all the posts in this thread i've decided to buy the game.
My only hope is that the game will not drop in price in a few days! :D

I wouldn't worry about that to much since I noticed junk jack has never dropped in price. I'd assume that this one would be similar... I guess you never know etc...

Junk Jack never budged a cent in close to 2 years, even when it got a late boost with Apple's "games like Minecraft" promotion, so you're as safe as you're going to be on the app store.

Jack (the real one) doesn't seem to have much patience for the usual app store antics.

I'm glad to not see many IAP but wondered if anyone got the Complete Craftbook? Is this something that can be found or opened up in the game?

Also as a newbie is it best to use the basic crafting? How steep is the learning curve to use the normal or advanced (not sure what it is called) crafting?

You can ultimately fill out your craftbook on your own. You'll find craft notes occasionally while digging etc and anything you craft via normal crafting is automatically added to your book.

I started with the standard crafting method, personally. It's not really "harder" it's just that you have to actually put everything in the grid yourself instead of doing it straight from the book. Standard crafting is also instantaneous and you can make things via pattern that you don't have the recipe for.
