Anyone else notice that the SKY doesn't fit the iPhone 5 screen? Everything else fits fine, but the sky has black bars on the side. It looks pretty bad.
Any idea if this works on an iPod 4g I heard that it wouldn't before but I'm not sure based on the description.
Well I've never played Terraria so I can't compare the two. Junk Jack has been massively updated since it's launch and Junk Jack X will show that and more. If you got the cash, I'd dive in if I were you. Explosions, hidden treasures, rare fossils to find, different bow and arrow types, magical beans and a bunch more. Not sure what you like or dislike but I can assure you after buying JJX you'll also get a ton of free updates like the first one received. Edit: Oh and as previously mentioned, cooking & farming!
The sky bug on wide devices somehow got to the final release, but was not present in the betas. We already fixed it and sent the 2.0.1 update to Apple. Apologies for that.
I feel obliged to mention that although Terraria hasn't seen an update in over a year, it's mainly because it's so freaking huge (plus they had to get the Vita/iOS versions ready). They've been feeding back information to the community at a fairly respectable rate. That said, I believe the iOS port was handed off to another team, so whether or not it gets any support at all remains to be seen.
They are aware and a fix is already submitted: https://twitter.com/thepixbits/status/372903077797720064
50 new plants Yeah! 150 different creatures Oh yeah! 350 placeable items Pls yes 390 different wearable items? Aww yiss Over 750 crafts Hold up what!? 1600 treasures. Oh Lordy
It works flawlessly on iPhone 3GS, so I'd think that it'd work fine on an iPod 4G. http://forum.pixbits.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13324#p208016
I'm going to skip this game and get Terraria instead just because Terraria hasn't focused only on the newest devices. I think it sucks that this game is only made for iOS.5 devices. The graphics aren't any better than the original Junk Jack and it makes no sense that it can only be played on the newest devices.
Terraira looks like they've decided to ignore the Japanese market by not releasing it in the App Store. Meanwhile, Junk Jack X is online. It's a Junk Jack monopoly in Japan. No competition here.
Both are excellent games but I played so much of the original Junk Jack on my iPhone (a long weekend just lost to it for starters) that it earned a special place in my folders. And for the small Junk Jack Devs to have the confidence to setup their release against Terraria shows boldness and confidence.
I just went to my PC and played a little Terraria which reminded me of why I am buying Junk Jack X on ios instead. I have never understood Terraria on a big screen, let alone try it on a small one. Junk Jack has always made sense to me.
