To be fair, this thread has had its share of JJX vs Terraria discussion as well, although I guess less dissing than in the Terraria thread. Still, with $5 price tags for both and Terraria being the better known brand (and getting editor's choice) so selling much better outside of any qualitative matters, it's inevitable that post-purchase rationalization rears its head more in that thread. iOS gamers tend toward being cheap, so instead of making the "correct" choice (buy both), you wind up with people picking teams and then trying to prove to everyone else (along with themselves) they made the right one. Seems a hard thing for humans to do: admit that when you make an either/or choice between two solidly decent choices, the other choice wasn't necessarily worse and, yes, you probably are missing out on something by not having gone with both. So much better to instead make declarative claims about a game you haven't even played that support your decision to skip it
Hi guys, how do i use The forge? I dont se any buttons to press in order to make ingots. Do I need a recepie? Because I'm using simple crafting and I can see the iron ingots in the forge menu. Thx in advance.
Just go to the forge, and place the ore in the left box, fuel in the right box. The forge crafting menu is really just telling you what you can go and cook in the forge.
Did you have to craft the big bomb or did you find it? I've only come across medium bombs or TNT. I've yet to see any snails to get snail goo. Also yay, just found my first diamonds. I've also found emeralds and topaz but no other gems.
I found a few, but you can use the goo from slimes. Also grats! Diamonds were my first gem. I want sapphires but I've been finding primarily topaz.
Ultimate gamers buy both I'm playing JJX more though, because I don't want to burn out on Terraria before the PC update hits, then I'm gonna run it into the ground.
I have a couple questions about the planets and multiplayer 1)Can u create portals in Multiplayer and travel to new worlds? 2) if u can and do so with someone on multipler and it's on their world do u get to keep the planets unlocked for u as well?
You seem to be pretty far ahead, want to show off a little via mp? I also need some ideas for making my house... I'm not used to this block size coming from Terraria.
I just started and build a solid house. But there are monsters spawning inside every night. How is that possible? Never had this problem in original Junk Jack. As u can see below there is no blank hole anywhere...i'm confused.
Monsters are spawning cause there are not enough torches. @Ramaz: You cant travel to other planets in multiplayer right now, and you do not unlock the planet the other player hosts if you havent unlocked it before.
Sure, but there's not much to show off in my case haha. My base is shabby. It hasn't really changed since I started, other than a couple addons and changing up the storage. I've been focusing my efforts on advancing my gear and trying to get portal pieces and haven't really worked on my base and whatnot yet. I totally have enough materials to do something cool in theory, though heh. My GC is Seil if you want to drop by anyway. I can't guarantee connection quality, though.
Argh this makes me mad, I just unlocked a hidden under ground chest with a silver key just to find out that I need a stronger tool than a stone hammer to break it
Im having trouble making golden pickaxes. I tried golden bars, golden blocks and golden ingots all with Wood planks, but nothing is working. Using the same pattern as the other pick axes of course at the anvil GGx Gwx XXW idk what I'm doing wrong
I apologize for this, but I'm exploding with questions. I'm 100% new to this game (Junk Jack Series)...but, am indeed experienced with the genre. I can find bits and pieces of my questions and have watched a ton of videos...so here are a few that are bothering me. 1. Biomes. Are these just new surface environments? Or also the different underground environments you run into while mining? How do you access other surface biomes? (I think this ties in with my question #3 and maybe #4) 2. When you mine down far enough to these different looking environments (underground biomes?), how the heck do you get back up? Re-trace steps? Block jump? I've seen some videos where people mine for what seems 30 mins or so. Any quick way back up aside from respawning? 3. I've heard you can essentially get mined out? Then you create a new world but can go back to your original world (house/benches and all that jazz)? How does this work? You can use the same character in multiple worlds? 4. Portals to other worlds? Once you build the portal, are these biomes? Same thing essentially? Sorry for the newb questions guys.
