Load iTunes and plug in your device.

Go to your library, click on your device, then the Apps tab.

Scroll down and you will see a section called File Sharing - these are apps' folders opened up by the devs for you to move files in/out of.

Click on JunkJackX and you should have a list of your world files, you can save them on your harddrive, then following the same steps, put them back on another device.

I grabbed this and Terraria. I've never had any experience with games like this so it's a bit of a learning curve.

Love the vibe of JJX so digging into it a bit. Just starting to get an idea of what I should be doing. Pretty awesome!

I've played the game for 10 minutes, but it's great so far. Love the art style, controls and multitude of craftables.

Never got such a rush in a game from something as small as creating a door

Based on what exactly? Opinions aren't all equal, and the only specific detail you gave is JJ bored you but Terraria didn't, which, while true for you, is about as useful a detail for helping others make decisions as me telling you how many empty soda cans are on my computer desk (3 btw :)).

I have both and prefer JJX over Terraria because of the consistency of game design for the worlds (wonky fluid mechanics aside) and the greater focus on exploring worlds as opposed to Terraria's focus on action. See, there is a place the two games do have very distinct differences that might affect people's feelings. Terraria has all manner of wacky weapons you can craft and put to use against that games much more developed enemies, and it's easy to see why more action oriented gamers will prefer that iteration on the sandbox game. Conversely, I am much more about the exploring and building aspect of sandbox games and feel JJ/JJX does it better with the uniformly sized units and mobs that are more obstacle / crafting material sources than goals in and of themselves. Then consider the differences in controls - I think JJ/JJX's are pretty much perfect for the touch screen, Terraria's are yet another oddball attempt at emulating a console like control set on a touch screen with some affordances (the zoom to place/remove for example) to help, but it's not my style or preference and gets in the way of getting lost in the game for me.

And whatever your preference between the two, I hope we can all agree they both beat the daylights out of Deep World :D

On a similar exploration note: Does Junk Jack have anything similar to Terraria's underground jungle or dungeon? Basically an area more dangerous than usual, that really forces you to watch your step and be on your guard. The jungle is one of my favourite game locations of all time, I remember creeping so slowly through it I was literally building a tunnel around myself with every step I took in order to keep enemies at bay.

They're not huge and, no, they're one of the things I really like about the aesthetics of JJ over Terraria.

Yeah, I'm in the JJ camp, have been since 2011 when it came out originally. It strikes a very happy balance between the Legos on meth concept the Minecraft popularized but streamlines it to 2D, which, I find, works much better on the smaller touch screen of a device like a touch or iPhone.

When you are low on health and you think you might die, quickly encase yourself in some dirt blocks then build a chest or have one already ready in your inventory to place. Put your most valuable stuff in it. If you die, the stuff in the chest will still be there.

I wish I could play my worlds across devices with iCloud saves. I have like three different games going on different devices. Also, I can't listen to my own music on my device while playing. If disable music in game, it disables all music including your own.

I'm so damn lost in this game. I'm just running back and forth with my Afro killing pigs and hiding from skeletons in the water.

So I just answered my own question about how big the world is. In the original Junk Jack there was a invisable barrier after a certain distance.

In Junk Jack X the world now just loops around which is amazing :D

Is it a further distance than the original game?
