Hi everyone. I wanted to pop in here to let you all know that my company (Metacreature Games, developer of the Xbox LIVE Community Game Bloc) has submitted our first iPhone game to Apple.

Juggler is a fun and simple little game where the goal is to see how many times you can juggle a set of balls. All you have to do is wait for a ball to drop below the marker line on screen and then tap it to send it back up in the air. You can play with anywhere from three to fifteen balls giving everyone the ability to play the game at a difficulty they enjoy. We have three styles of balls (multi-colored, solid, and smiley faces) so that people can choose whichever they prefer to use. To top it off, we have an online leaderboard so that the world can compete to see who is the best juggler.

We have an official site set up at http://www.metacreaturegames.com/juggler and a Twitter account people can follow at http://www.twitter.com/metacreature. Once the game goes live, we're going to be doing a random lottery of our Twitter followers to give away 10 free copies, so feel free to encourage your readers to follow us for their chance to win (right now we only have about 27 people following us so everyone has pretty good odds of winning). The codes we'll have are only good in the US store, so please keep that in mind.

EDIT: We're approved and we upped the release date. Juggler will be available for sale on Sunday, January 18th for just $0.99!

Juggler - Approved and Coming out January 18th!

Just wanted to post back and let everyone know that we were approved tonight! We also moved the release date to Sunday, January 18th so we can get it out to you guys faster.

So to celebrate, here are three codes (first come, first serve. only for US App Store) which, as I'm told, will let you get the game tonight, before anyone else has it:

    HAMEAEJWJMK4
    XR6PTFHE66JW
    ALE9AMY4EF3T

In addition, we're still running our Twitter contest through Sunday. Follow twitter.com/metacreature and reply to our latest post to enter. On Sunday we'll be giving away ten codes to random repliers for free copies of the game.

If you don't happen to win a code, fret not because Juggler will be for sale at the low, low price of $0.99 making it quite a bargain.

I look forward to getting some feedback on the game. We're already hard at work on our second one which I'm hoping to announce next weekend.

Wow, I was not expecting them to go so fast. Thanks for giving it a play. We're definitely open to suggestions and recommendations so we can make our future games the best we can.

    im number 2!

its really fun, to be honest my only suggestions would be to change the graphics, and add some more landscapes to juggle in. i just dont like the bold black line look, personally...

I agree. Maybe add different ball designs or better yet change the balls to oranges or apples, that'd be sweet. Also, what is that music? I know I've heard it before, I just can't recall the name of that piece...

Not anymore ;-). I just had to.

What kinds of landscapes? Would you guys want to use your own pictures for backgrounds? Or just have us provide different things like fields or mountains or something?

More ball designs, huh? I'll run it by the artist tomorrow. Maybe we can make something like that happen for a 1.1 update.

    It's The Entertainer.

    yeah, like a field, etc...

and personally i'de prefer a slighty more realistic look to the cartoony look, like with some light effects, lol. but its great already!

Wow! Nice work. I can't wait to see how competitive the leaderboard gets once the games goes live to the world.

I'll talk to the artist and see if it's something we want to look into.

Thanks so much for that. We were worried we'd put it out and nobody would like it. It's great to hear that you guys are having fun.

    Juggler Is Out Now!

    Hey Guys,

Remember way back when, when I said the game would be out Sunday? Well... it's out NOW!

Originally I was told it might take 24-48 hours for my changes of the date to take effect which is why I told you all Sunday for the release day. Well it seems it only took a few hours so now everyone else is free to go and grab Juggler and compete against Everydaynormalguy, jupiter21, and the rest of the world to see who is the best juggler.

Again, please let us know what you think. We want to make games for the gamers, so any tips or feedback that we can apply to our future games is appreciated.

Edit: We're still taking entries for the free copies. We'll be giving those codes away later today, so head over to twitter.com/metacreature, follow us, and reply to the latest tweet to enter. Ten free codes will be given away today and one could be yours! :)

First of all, I want to thank the ten or so people I've seen pop onto the leaderboard today. Not sure if you read these forums or not, but a big thank you for purchasing Juggler.

Secondly, we're still taking entries for the free codes. We'll be giving those codes away in just a couple hours, so head over to twitter.com/metacreature, follow us, and reply to the latest tweet to enter. Ten free codes will be given away in about two hours and one could be yours! We only have about 40 followers (not all of which have replied yet) so everyone has pretty good odds of netting a free game today.

Hey all, just wanted to pop into the forums, see what was being said, and generally keep my finger on the pulse of iPhone gaming.

We really appreciate all the feedback so far and are definitely going to find some time during our work on the next title to address these suggestions. I especially am a big fan of putting fruit in the game to juggle, as this is a hobby of mine while grocery shopping. I'm actually a little surprised I didn't think of it sooner...

Anyway, my inbox is always open. As Nick mentioned, we want to make games for gamers. Let us know if there is anyway we might improve. Thanks!
