oh what?!! ive been waiting so long for my problem to be solved and i got nothing! smart idea with them giving u tons of coins to get ur badges back.
UPDATE** I figured out how to save the game's progress, and restore the game once the bug wipes everything out. All you have to do is connect to iTunes, right click on your device, and click on "backup". Then, whenever the bug wipes out your progress, you just connect back to itunes, right click on your device, and click on "restore from backup". This enabled me to reach level 125 [125 badges]. Although it was very disappointing when I did, because they simple start you all the way back over. There's no end to this game. Achieving the badges is pointless.
Aw... sad to hear that. But at least for me and some others like me, we can play the game without fear again.
I will never play a Halfbrick game again. I bought the game. I paid for the coin duplicator. I earned 80+ medals and they were all deleted. I went to coin duplicator and it charged me another 1 dollar in the app purchase. I disputed the charge with my credit card provider I am not giving one more dollar to Halfbrick. I have emailed them so many times and they never respond. They are crooks and a-holes and dbags. I am not the only one with a story like this. Some devs go out of their way to THANK YOU when you praise their game. I am emailing about an issue and this is what i get. What a joke honestly. I loved Jetpack. LOVED IT. i still havent found ONE game as addictive. Anyone have suggestions Im working on Blot now
As I understand it developers are not able to issue refunds, but if you contact Apple they are pretty good about refunding you for IAP that you didn't receive.
Hey Mr Greed, I understand why you're upset about losing all the badges but there really isn't a reason to call HB "crooks" because it's not really their fault that Apple charged you another dollar. And as operaguy said, HB can't issue refunds; this is once again an Apple thing. TBH I feel that you're being way too overly sensitive about losing just one dollar... Its not about the dollar for real. I spend tons and tons of money gifting apps if anything. The problem is I actually loved the game and recommended it to so many of my friends. I have an xbox 360 and ps3 and I would play this game more than either system. Id play it everyday. But to have all of your medals and IAP deleted for no reason is heartbreaking. Its like if you were playing Call of Duty and prestiged 4-5 times and then someone came in and deleted you and started you from level one deleting all your achievements. It just ruined the game for me forever and I havent even gotten a response from Halfbrick which is stupid considering I paid for the game and purchased IAP and even bought the game for my gf.
Love Halfbrick Know how you feel but as has been the Case for a while Halfbrick have been frantically been trying the problem and am fairly sure they have fixed it. Remember they have several games and systems to uphold and tried to please everyone personally i love HalfBrick and will continue to support everythign they do!
You say this as if HB did it on purpose. As much as anyone can gather through the Internet, HB is one of the best in the PR department. Give them and yourself a break. Even if you can't play anymore, your $3 got you, what, 20 hours of fun? Also, as others have said, HB can do nothing to get you your money back, its all up to apple.
Sorry if i came of arrogant but what's happened to you has happenend to me aswell, but i think we both knew we would have to start again @Lambchops if your jailbroken try the app DataDeposit from cydia has been a godsend on all these crashes!
its all good mate. yeah heard about that but mine isnt jailbroken prob wont jailbreak it either. on the bright side, ill be looking forward to the next update with new content should be fun.
I'm very disappointed with Halfbrick. They didn't even warn people about the bug. They just let people keep playing, when they KNEW that it was wiping out people's progress. And this new "update" doesn't even solve the problem. People are still reporting that the game is reseting everybody's progress, and there's still no option to backup and recover your game via Game Center like other games do. The only way to backup your progress is through iTunes, which is a real pain. Halfbrick really dropped the ball on this one. They should at east issue a public apology, after all the time and money we spent on their game.
Game Impressions I have to say this game is quality but I actually find it quite annoying, mainly because I do not like the main character. 4 stars for me.
