It took me 12 hours to get Angry Wings. So relieved when the Achievment finally popped up.

One thing I don't understand is how you guys can have so much problem with Germaphobe? I completed it the first time I tried.

Now I only have to buy three more Gold Costumes and then I've bought everything in the store, and finally completed the game.

No, I don't think that the clothes or jetpacks change the game in any helpful way. If you have something on your head (hat, glasses, whatever), it'll go flying off if you get hit. The jetpacks scatter scientists in different ways (you can set them on fire or the fruit jetpack makes them slip and fall). I think that's all they do, though.

I don't know if this has been asked but can you use more than one revive a game?

Good for you! Have a cigar.

But do you really not understand why people can have trouble with that achievement? I might as well say "I can't understand how it took you 12 hours to get 'Angry Wings', I'd got it within an hour" - as both rely on luck*.

Ever been avoiding lasers and had a Spin Token fly into you? Ever dodged underneath a zapper at the top of the screen and then encountered a descending row of coins? Ever had to hit the deck to avoid a zapper/ missile combo?

'Course you have, we all have, 'cause that's the kind of thing the game often throws at you. But those situations, which were just a few examples, would all prevent the 'Germaphobe' achievement through no fault of the player. You not only need a half-decent run, you need the cards to fall for you too. I genuinely lost count of the amount of times I was faced with a choice between dying and picking something up before getting 'Germaphobe'.

And I think that one sticks in people's minds as it 'stops' you from playing the game 'properly' while you go for it...

Well, that and get all 125 badges... :)

*Not equivalent amounts of luck, of course, but big chunks of it all the same.

Guess I just had to say something. On lunch got both angry wings and germaphobe on my ipod putting me at 30/30. Now I have to just do it on my ipad :)

Spin Tokens are pretty much the least predictable part and are sometimes unavoidable, but missiles are leadable and coins generally don't appear alongside a lot of obstacles. Yeah, you can get screwed over, but that applies for the "real" obstacles as well, and as a sort of "bonus" if you bump into coins or tokens you can just play the rest of the run normally.

Had to get the achievement twice (iTunes ate my data) and while it took me more tries the second time around, it's honestly not that bad. Most of the achievements are really easy, aside from Angry Wings which is extremely random, so I'm glad there's one with some legit challenge. It's kind of unfortunate that a lot of people shooting for completionism think of this as an obstacle more than anything else.

I had a round where all I won was free spin tokens (3 times). Talk about useless :(

What are you're favorite clothes/jetpack combos in the game?

Haha..Yeah, luck plays a part in this game. Germaphobe didn't take too much tries for me, but getting the 200m & 69 coins took me a while (especially getting the 69 coins for some reason). Now on to Angry Wings.. lol.. I shoulda tried for the Angry Wings before the update. ;) lol..

But yeah, congratulations to Halfbrick for getting me addicted to one endless runner. =D

I wanted to share a personal milestone of mine that I hit this afternoon:

According to my math, there are 15 missions for each medal and 125 medals. Given that, you need to do 1,875 missions in order to get all of said medals.

1875 / 2 is 937.5, so in the words of Bon Jovi, "Whoa, we're halfway there"!

My next personal milestone happens in the next day or so when I finally break 10 million meters (9,478,009 right now).

Wow. That's incredible. I thought I played a lot, but clearly I'm not even remotely in the same category. I've only gone through the game 4 or 5 times...and my wife complains I play too much!!

I agree, it was 'nice' :))) to have one that was difficult - I just felt it was a bit too random. But I accept this may well have been because I got 'screwed over' so much!

(Maybe I should approach it that all the bad luck I got stopped others getting so much of it... :))

Wow! That is extraordinary. I doff my cap to you, sir!

Very Nice MicroByte! I am curious to know what will happen after you collect all the medals so far released. When Muscat comes back he will be pleasantly surprised at your results ahaha.

Had my best run yesterday...Broke 3 records!
Broke my distance record, my coins collected in one game record, and also my spin token record.

Btw does anyone know if the game counts spin tokens won from the slot machine?

You've probably hit on the hard part about making challenging achievements / missions for this game; there's a fair bit of luck involved just playing it in general, so when you're gunning for something that ramps up the challenge further, it can end up too luck-based.

Hey, at least there's no "panphobia" achievement where you can't hit the red lights, either. Now that'd be a nightmare.
