I didn't mean the game becomes easier, just that all my highscores were much easier to achieve once I invested in the power ups

Just think that's a little unfair to people competing for high-scores who can't afford IAP.

 

I thought that as well. I always found it somewhat funny that he was doing this for no apparent reason!

With the Mr. Cuddles, he's now setting them on fire... Anger issues?

 

I think you are mistaking what an IAP is? The only things that make it 'easier' are the headstarts, extra life and bombs! These are purchased using ingame money which you earn while playing the game. You can buy extra coins with real money (which would be a real IAP) but this is not needed at all as you get loads of coins while playing!!

 

Ok, so my iPhone battery died, and once recharged, Jetpack Joyride won't open. Everything else will open, but not this game. I've tried restarting it and everything...

 

If you have already killed the app in the app manager and it doesn't work. I see only one solution, delete & reinstall, bad part, you'll lose everything

Thanks for the tips, I got the achievement in three attempts. That makes it 30/30 for me. I got the first bird around 1400m (3rd machine), dumped it, got a Mr Cuddles and a Gravity Guy, then another Profit Bird. Believe me, I was eager to die and finish the game, in case it crashed and I lost it. Fortunately, it didn't crash, so I got my final achievement, haha.

God, other people are having so many problems with those 3 achievements (Germophobe, Angry Wings and to a lesser extent, Bullseye). I really must be lucky.

 

Yeah I've having a hard time with Angry Wings and Bullseye, too... I'm gonna try those tips though...

 

Angry Wings more a background one. I mean, you can still concentrate on it and try to get it, but in the normal course of your game you've always got that slight chance of getting it. Bullseye, on the other hand, is painful. You're not gaining anything by attempting that one (apart from a few coins)

My tips:

Bullseye: Can't help there, got it first try. If you DO see a grounded yellow wire at around 193m, run into it (literally) to get to 200. Otherwise hit a high one, but be prepared to miss.

Germophobe: Got it on try number 2. Don't use a Head Start, there's too much of a chance you'll get a coin and fail the achievement. Do get a high five mission (tell when you hit a scientist) and the '1750m without coins' so you're achieving 2 for the price of 1. To be honest, I did neither though. Just hope the coin arrangement is lucky.

Angry Wings: Dump EVERY machine you get ASAP. If you don't get a bird by 2500m, restart. I got my first one at around 1700m on attempt 3 and got the second one at 3700m.

 

haha... just now had time to check out the update... and I'm lovin the new outfit (dragon thing?) - it looks great! =oD

P.S. I put "Soda Jetpack" because it sounds better than "Pop Jetpack", and (not sure about this) because I think Australians say soda more commonly than pop anyways. "Coke Jetpack" is out for obvious reasons.

Earlier in this thread I saw someone with a list of....badges/medals or something under the MY PROFILE page, but when I go there it has a list of stats and my current level. Explain?

Also: best vehicle upgrades?

 

How do you get badges?

They're all about the same, just buy golden and magnet for all of them, starting with your favorite.
