I usually get bored of endless runner really fast so I don't normally buy them. But I decided to buy this game anyways, because I love half brick, and I'm glad I did. I have put 6 hours into the game so far, have a lot of things unlock and almost prestigeing for the second time. I hope they add a lot more challenges in the future! BTW I'm rocking the Fancy suit, nerd glasses, and traditional jetpack. By far the sweetest look. Kinda James Bondish. PLEASE ADD A LOT MORE CONTENT! Oh yeah and my top score is 6,997! So close to 7,000 356 on the leader boards!
That's the trick to the Bullseye achievement, although their distances vary based on the length of the initial coin pattern.
I was thinking that by buying the GOLD skin for a vehicle and enabling it you can have it so that ONLY the vehicles will spawn that are golden therefore making it easier to get the bird achievement/goals that require vehicles and allowing you to "master" a vehicle if you may not like it compared to the others. Also gives GOLD skins a purpose. Also would you consider giving unlockables only able to be acquired through achievements. Example would be by having all 30/30 achievements you are given a gold jetpack. As you add more achievements the more difficult it becomes to get giving the people who bought the game early a bonus.
More fun facts: It costs 107 stars to get a medal. If you wanted to buy a medal with coins, it would cost 535,000 coins. Couple suggestions: Special items for when you get to 10, 25 etc..medals. Please make more missions, but PLEASE don't change the criteria for getting a medal, keep it to 107 stars needed for a medal. Just got my 7th medal in my 24th hour played, this game is addicting as sleep.
Two reasons that's not a great idea: 1) People don't want to miss out on being able to use other vehicles just because they have unlocked a gold one; conversely, they don't want to have to avoid using a gold vehicle until the rest of the golds are unlocked as well. 2) More importantly, this is way too open to abuse, considering that the teleporter is by far the easiest vehicle to make distance in. If this were implemented, pretty much everybody would only be turning the gold teleporter on and leaving the rest as normal in order to get the teleporter every time a vehicle turned up.
Quick off topic question >.< Is fruit ninja gonna get anymore new stuff/updates (fruits, blades, modes, etc.)?
Slight derailing of the topic: I don't like the teleporter. Yes, it's my longest-distance vehicle (followed very closely by the hog) like everyone else, but it's so non-interactive. You just stare at the screen until something comes up... I prefer the Profit bird in terms of playability. Heck, I have a soft spot for the Grav Suit too!
Heh, still, one major thing about gamers: they'll almost invariably do or choose something they detest if it gets them even the slightest advantage over the alternatives. ^_-
A while back I posted that I thought that gold vehicles should become slightly more likely to spawn in the roulette (about 1.5x or MAYBE 2x at most), which lets you customize to suit your playstyle a little bit, but still leaves things mostly to the element of chance. I've seen a lot of people pushing for items to have really large game-changing effects, and (obviously, just my opinion but) if this was implemented, the game balance compared to older versions would be heavily impacted, and it'd get too item-centric. I like being able to dress Barry up in whatever I want without thinking "well, this item would score better", and I think that's why most of the items are "useless"--for the better. I usually do better with the Bird than the Teleporter, incidentally.
That's not actually the classy suit: if you look closely, it's a black leather jacket and blue jeans. It's similar to the punk outfit, but that has no sleeves.
Well, yeah. I just couldn't think of the name of it. Besides, I play on an iPhone so I don't see much anyways.
So, three badges now - but I'm still missing two achievements. 'Angry Wings' is, I assume, entirely based on luck? This is gonna be another 'Lucky Spin' from Plants vs Zombies (which, coincidentally, I *finally* got this morning), then? Great. Particularly as I'm not very good at this game, so tend to only get three or four vehicles per go... The real problem is 'Germaphobe', though. If I had a pound for every time the game makes me choose between picking something up or dying I'd be able to afford a slap-up meal for two. It's just so random! And the times I've got close enough to 2,000m to use a bomb I hit something either while falling or being blown up. Gah! Any tips gratefully received...
Angry wings is based entirely on luck. If you really want a tip (and aren't very good at the game) start over if your first vehicle isn't a Profit Bird. As for Germaphobe, it's partly luck. Start off by quickly flying up to the top of the screen and activating Head Start. From then on, just hope you don't get hit. Personally I wouldn't recommend using bombs unless you're very close - you never know what lies just off-screen. A Second Chance is very very useful though - but again, don't use it unless you're close enough (past 1,500m) because it's an expensive item to waste. That's pretty much it, good luck! EDIT: I should make a video showing how to get Germaphobe, what do you guys think? Is it gonna be worth it?
The hog is obviously based on terminator 2, especially with the shotgun and spinning around reloading barry does.
So does my score only update to GameCenter if I'm online when I'm doing my run, I have a high score of 5,333 but it isn't listed on my GameCenter.
At least, then, there's nothing I'm doing wrong! It'll happen one game, one day, then... Yeah, I'd suspected that the game has to be 'kind' to you in order to get it (the closest I'd got was 1,900-odd meters when avoiding a zapper got me 'trapped' underneath a descending line of coins with no way of avoiding collecting at least one - there was some shocking language at that, I can tell you! )... Are there never coins at the very top of the screen then, or is it just very unlikely? Yeah, I'd assumed bombs are a 'hail Mary' thing - but worth a try in the right circumstances? I've found, Second Chance-wise, that being fried always seems to make me touch something. That darned luck thing again, I suppose... It certainly couldn't hurt, I reckon. Thanks for all the advice, it's very kind.
Final Spin idea Ability to purchase a 4-leaf clover to increase your chances of getting items from your Final Spins! Terrific game, btw!
