I just had two awesome ideas, but I'll save the best for last. (All ideas are for jetpacks, as coming up with costumes is pretty straightforward ) (Half)Brick Jetpack: shoots out bricks that break in half when hitting scientists/the ground. kills scientists. (suggested this in the upcoming thread, thought it was worth mentioning again) Icy Jetpack: sprays icy wind (like the steam jetpack but bluer and slightly sparkly). freezes scientists? Icicle Jetpack:shoots spreads of icicles. kills scientists. Sonic Jetpack: uses sonic bursts (little rings that get bigger the the longer they don't hit the ground. they'd be the biggest if you were at the top of the screen). harmless. aaaannd: the Mr. Zappy Jetpack: Self-explanatory Also, I came up with the idea of gloves, for use on scientists (and as another way to spen money in the stash). No gloves would be the normal setting, and then you could buy different gloves for different effects, like a regular glove for high-fiving, an electrical glove for zapping, a heat glove for burning them, etc. just by running past them. This way, people who wanted to could high-five while not on that/those mission(s) and other people could choose not to (or choose to be more cruel than slapping the scientists' hands ). (Also, I'm sure they'd be easy to design. They only take up a couple pixels, so it'd basically be just a color change from one glove to the next.) Wow, that was a much longer post than I planned...
Great ideas! I would love to see those jetpacks in the next update. About a glitch: I read on this thread that some people encountered the no coins glitch, and that happened to me. How do I fix this?
Id like to see customizable scientists, that would be awesome! Change them by buying THEM clothing. That'd be cool.
Got a suggeson for a new game mode: Score Attack: All high fives/near misses/brush by lights are enabled, and you compete for the highest score instead of distance. Loving this game....a lot. I've got 12 (probably 14 by the time some of you read this post ) hours of gameplay and I've almost got my 4th badge. I'm addicted!
Just thought of a vehicle idea... A kangaroo vehicle that hops! Even better because HalfBrick is Australian!
iPod Touch 2g graphics... Not sure if it's been asked before... My friend has a new iPod and the graphics for this game are ALOT better than they are on my iPod Touch 2g (MB). For example, the backgrounds have doors, the coins spin, the particle effects are better. Does anyone else have this problem ? (not even sure if it is a "problem")
Questions for the devs: Is there any way to get our not-uploaded achievements on Gamecenter? Would it be possible to sync progress (or at least coins and bought items) between devices with Gamecenter?
@MicroByte it was a very very lucky round one time the device didn't respond for a bit and saved me from going into a zapper!!! and the tokens gave me a lot of bombs and 2 nukes and a second chance plus my second chance and my bomb and took the teleporter so I don't think I'll get a distance close to that for another millennium @Saqerbeast as I said its luck, but if you have a small device (iphone, itouch) you can try pulling the device away from you blur the image with your eyes and look at the whole screen, but you won't enjoy the graphics! @Saqerbeast you mean the golden jetpack your the first one to notice it I photoshoped it specially for Dinocastel who actually didn't see it. so guys this is probably the end for me here ... I really enjoyed these days with you and with the game, sorry if I ignored anyone, its a very long thread. My game center id is:[zeexto]
Hey guys! Hot on the heels of my list of missions a few pages back, here are the names of all the ranks. Perhaps not as cool as the missions, but what the heck. Beginner Learner Rookie Novice Amateur Graduate Skilled Experienced Professional Hotshot Expert Wizard Ninja Super Star Barry
I love this game, but really do NOT love the integration with OpenFeint. Well, it would have been fine had I known what it did ahead of time. My wife's iPhone, which use to be mine, has my OpenFeint account on it. Well my kids are playing the game on that phone, and JPJR keeps trying to sync that with my iPhone and iPad and there's no option to NOT sync. You can only choose to overwrite the save on OF or to download the progress from OF (overwrite on your device). So of course I always overwrote what was on OF, and then they kept getting my progress. So finally I removed my OF account from the old 3GS... but then they lost ALL progress as it reset back to square one! Argh! So, nice idea, but pretty ill-conceived implementation from my perspective. Frustrating.
Sorry to hear that. I love that they incorporated this and really think it was done with the intention of picking up the game progress from one device to another - play while I'm out with the iPhone and then pickup where I left from when I get home and play on the iPad. However, I agree, I had a learning curve since my kids were playing on the iPad and I was on my iPod Touch and were really confused initially as to how they suddendly had all of the items opened. It finally dawned on me when it prompted me for the first time to Download or Overwrite my progress of what was going on. This might be a flaw regardless of using open feint or not and might be something seen later with Cloud saves if that ever get's incorporated. I think a solution might be for 3 options - Overwrite, Download or Ignore. It would be a minor inconvenience to have to hit ignore, but at least it would allow for multiple games to be played under the same account.
If you purchase it on one device and your other device is on the same iTunes account, you should be fine. I purchased it on my iPod Touch and went to my iPad and was able to purchase "free of charge" since I had already purchased the IAP.
Agreed. Unfortunately they didn't think to include an Ignore option, which is pretty crazy. Maybe they'll add that later. Also, this is yet another game that I think desperately needs to add multiple saves on one device. I really don't understand why iOS game devs are so allergic to multiple game save files. Such a basic feature that's missing from 99% of iOS games.
