Here's an annoying bug: high scores aren't recorded properly on both Game Center and in the in-app high score table which compares you and your friends. My true better high score is shown in the beginning of each game, but for some odd reason an older high score was recorded. Why Halfbrick doesn't attempt to record the better score later on is unknown. I do hope they fix this, I remember the same problem in Fruit Ninja. I don't know if that was corrected eventually or not. Endless running games are all for bragging rights and not having my top score up there is disappointing.
in games like this where you can purchase coins or something to that affect with iap, is it a one time thing only as in, you bought a pack of coins on one device but if playing on a second device, you would need to purchase a fresh new set of coins, i.e.., it wouldn't be restored as a free purchase like when you upgrade a random app with a new iap feature that can be restored to multiple devices free of charge? there is no way to copy over progress on one device to another like you could do with real racing right?
Wasted too much time on this game today.. Beat the missions, need more of em, like many suggested could be auto generated. I would really like to see some different obstacles and somehow the hole setup cries for boss enemies.. always waiting for one to show up but no he keeps shooting his rockets from his safe place offscreen... coward show yourself
Surprised to see not more criticism about the fact that the missions are extremely, incredibly easy. I am the kind of person that gets stuck in Tiny Wings somewhere before the 10th nest (forgot where exactly) and I already finished all the missions here. Most of them required hardly any effort at all. I don't think that ever happened to me with any game before. It's not necessarily a bad thing, I get that this is meant to be a casual game and perhaps also targeted to children, but like others said, I do really wish there were more missions and I agree that it would work well if they were simply adjusted for difficulty. Getting thrown back to the beginning again, doing again missions like "get 200 coins in one game" is such a shame for such a great game. I would also love more useful things to buy with all my coins.
I don't know what the cap is, but finishing all of the missions will get you to 15 (actually, it completes L15). After that, you have the option to redo the missions, but your level doesn't reset, so you can continue to level.
It's funny, I read all of the hype and how amazing this game was and really didn't buy into it. Having played it myself now I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with all of the positive sentiments. This game is truly addictive in the "gotta play just one more game" mentality. The personality of the simplistic, cartoon like graphics really shine through in the details from the reactions of the lab personnel to the little details that bring the environment to life. It's obvious that this game was lovingly tweaked and refined to the near sense of perfection. Barry controls flawlessly and reacts instantly to every press of the screen. A game like this would live or die from any sort of frame glitches, lag or slowdown, yet after hours of playing I have never once encountered anything of the sort. I'm now on my second play through of the missions and am happy to see that I can continue to expand on my accomplishments until purchasing my final upgrade or clothing item from the store. Well done Halfbrick, you've added yet another top tier game to your rrepertoire of fine games for the iOS device. I hope to see many future updates and expansions to keep the experience fresh and addictive as ever.
Loving this game, question for you guys, if you wanted to score really high on the scoreboards, like get above 7000m, but u dont wanna spend money for coins(which i agree with superman, thats dumb) with tha being said, how about buying the .99 counterfiet machine to double your coins? Itbwould make buying the consumable items, alot easier. What u guys think?
The counterfeit machine is really a must for saving coins, especially in the long run. I hate IAPs, but didn't have a problem with this one, because it's not a consumable (one time use item).
Ok! So far I REALLY love this game! It's awesome!!! A couple things I don't like: 1. WHY MUST I KILL THE SCIENTISTS?!?! D: Talk about guilt on your conscience 2. Why don't the scientists give you high five after you complete the high five mission? That's about it. AWESOME GAME!
This is hands down the best runner available. It's so much fun to play over and over. Great job Halfbrick, this is an absolute must have title!
Agreed. I actually think something sort of like Infinity Blade's system would work well here, by which I mean after finishing all the missions you can opt to go for harder ones (with better rewards), or reset back to the beginning. Additionally, it should be possible to go back to the original missions anytime. That way I think everyone's happy.
Buy the Bubble Jetpack! It's not expensive, and you need a different jetpack anyway to complete all the missions. Okay, you may still kill a few scientists with the vehicles, but that's collatoral damage. Or so I tell myself
Wait till you get the rainbow jetpack! Honestly, the first day playing this game I couldn't shake the feeling that Barry is kinda an a*whole. He breaks into a factory and goes on a killing spree because he's... Bored? But the other jetpacks made it better. ^.^
Hey guys, I'll quickly jump in and address some points for you. I'm sure Muscat will soon also. 1. While many items are cosmetic, some jetpacks are not - they have different physics. For example, the Steam is heavier, falls faster and rises slower. It all depends on what style of player you are and which jetpack you prefer. 2. This game was built to be extended - we made a bunch of missions and can add more soon - we literally had to cut ourselves off from making new stuff to actually wrap and submit the game (roughly a month of work) and then got right back on the content. First update is on the way!
