Well it seems around the 3500 mark the screen is moving so fast that is becomes pure luck not to die. It was the same thing with Monster Dash.
This game is not very good.... The first time I played and it went into a black screen and had to reset. But the gameplay is fun for the first like 5 times then it gets old, you have really seen and done what the whole game offers. I mean the power ups are cool and so is the slot machine. But it's just way too simple and boring to make this a great game.
Ok, well maybe I shouldn't have used the word "revolutionary" as most of the reviews do say something like that they take an established idea and basically make it extrodinary. I agree that this is a big step above many of the runners out there and implements some neat ideas (like the slot machine). I guess since I've played sooooo many runners that I just wasn't as blown away as much as I thought I'd be by this. Even Rogue Runner did some nice things to expand the idea, like it's top down mode, but don't remember that ever getting as much hype. I'm not saying by any means that this isn't a great game. It is. I guess I just got a little more excited about it than I should have before I sat down and played it. I'm sure it'll still be one of my go-to games for a while. Yet even though Temple Run wasn't a big leap in the genre, I found myself drawn back to play it over and over again in a way that I don't feel yet for this.
I'm enjoying this. Its not mind-blowingly awesome, but I don't really expect to have my mind blown too often for 99 cents. Its a good game...
Perhaps JJ is a nice little gameplay treat, haven't bought it yet, but what I now recognize is that it is foremost a triumph of marketing. Halfbrick have really built up quite the hype around their title. I don't think a new company could pull out what they did, their aura has been built through years of successful name-building. Of course, even though the gameplay is dead-simple, they did invest a lot in various small details that enrich the experience and keep players coming back.
Agree wholeheartedly. Rocketcat was able to do this with the Hook games, and I'd love to play this on the go and keep my progress I have on the iPad
Using the Bubble/Foam one for a bit gets you an achievement. Same goes for the rainbow one. Buy two and you get an achievement, also. To directly answer your question, though, while there are achievements for buying stuff, they don't change the gameplay at all unless you count the magnets for the vehicles.
alrighty... I've got about 15k coins... what's the best jetpack to get? ---I'm sure this has been asked... sorry... =o/
If you want the "best" thing to get I'd pick up the coin magnets first, as they'll help you soak up more coins. Other than that, everything else is just cosmetic upgrades so just pick up whatever you like the most.
Okay how many rankings can we go in this game? I dont want these missions to end! Also, I love the way the game has goals during each run similar to tiny wings. But ever notice the sound effects that come with the Cash Bird? Sounds prettyyyyy close to a tiny wing bird! lol
this is simply the best distance/runner game ever made period its gonna take alot to top this its brilliant and for a simple game like this its so damn fun to play. nice job half brick you have a winner here.
