Does anyone else find that in Game Center leaderboards my best distance is quite a bit less then my actual best distance run? Also, is there a way to get to GC achievements from within the game? I can get to the achievements in OpenFeint if I switch to that, but I can't figure out how to get to the GC achievements if that one is set as the default.
Why not have head starts as an option? Why not have automatic atomic blasts after you die as an option? Why not have automatic revival as an option? The thing is that these "options" are already provided in the form of consumable bonus items or slot machine prizes; they don't also need to be permanent abilities that can be turned on or off. That said, you never know, it may be something the developers decide to add in an update. If they do, then for an item that gives you a permanent head start boost, 30-50k sounds reasonable.
Oooohhhh! So that's what the magnets do! I didn't buy any of them because I wasn't sure what they meant. Definitely going to buy those now. Perhaps the description should say "coin magnets" or something like that.
because the head start would be something like another difficulty mode, that's all. anyway, just had a 6k run and got 8 coins, so a blast or revive would be quite useful, but f machine gave a lot but only the money, lol.
I played this quite a lot today, but am a bit bored with it now. If the shop items actually enhanced the gameplay or leveled up your guy I would keep playing it...

I have now played this game 2 days straight, neglecting all other purchases. (as well as work...) I can't remember the last time I played a game this much...
Is anyone having a problem with losing coins when they exit the game? I had just leveled my rank and had 1904 coins total, but when I exited and booted the game up again I was back to 40 (but my rank remained). Kind of a downer.
Surprised to see this even reviewed by USA Today this morning. HB must have some pull. Got a 4/4 148apps/PocketGamer gave it 5/5 STP 3/4 Great game. Not entirely sure it deserved as much hype as it got as I wouldn't say it's revolutionary. Just a very polished, well thought out runner, that will keep me occupied for a while. The "missions" are a nice touch just because they're presented up-front and make it seem more important to the game, while achievements in other games you have to dig to find and often get lost on gamers who aren't ambitious on their own.
omg.. i have been playing this game too much.. 2 hours straight since i bought it. i am at professional level so far. whats left? i am no.3 on game center under the HB developers in total distance.. is that correct?
One thing I would really like adding to this game is syncing of game saves accross devices. I really, really appreciate it when a dev releases a game as universal ( boo draw race 2! ) but when its a game with many hours of play required to earn everything the fact that I have it on my ipad and iphone means either playing through this huge time sync twice or not bothering with one of them. I'm not blaiming the dev as apple hasn't made it easy ( yet, ios 5? ) but some devs have found a way, in particular firemint with Real Racing 2 and Real Racing 2 HD which despite the game not being universal still has a great save syncing system. After playing for a few hours today on my ipad I'm tempted to delete it from my iphone because I'm not gonna do the whole thing twice. Rant over. PS awesome game otherwise.
Just booted up the game and I lost all my coins.... anyone know why? I think its a bug.... Oh well... BEST GAME EVER
Brilliant game. One addition I hope for (other than more costumes to buy) would be the addition of different backgrounds. I love the ones that are currently here and think it would be wonderful to see a little more variety back there.
well what i hate is i cannot even play it without choosing, open feint or game center and i don't want either !
To those of you referring to the hype and people saying the game was revolutionary, can you provide any quotes from media coverage that said that? I just read through all of our previous coverage and can't find anything that even vaguely relates to it being a revolutionary game on any level. In fact, it seems we were pretty clear that Halfbrick has taken an old and tired genre and made it better? edit: Admittedly I don't really read too many other iOS sites so maybe that's where it's coming from.
Great, great game! Simple, polished and very addictive! I already purchased double coins IAP to show my love to halfbrick!
