I got every achievement and every item of clothing / vehicle upgrade. I had all of the useful gadgets. I deleted the game months ago because there just wasn't anything to do and... I don't know, I get rid of stuff I'm done with. I'm so sad it didn't have any cloud saves. All that is lost. That said, I downloaded again and am back on the grind. Still fun. Amazing how great these guys are.
Have any of the people who see ads paid for the game? I bought this years ago and also bought the coin doubler which was a thank you to the devs in the early days. I do not see any ads in the game, maybe IAP or early adopters do not see them. The cost reducing IAP for the wave rider is a strange idea. I wonder how many sales that will generate given many TA posters view of IAP?
I did about 8 runs in a row and not one ad befouled my experience. Hopefully they won't suddenly start showing up out of the blue
I bought this game and counterfeiter iap as well a long time ago. They added an add feature after you complete a run. Its very small and doesn't really ruin the game at all. Just disapointed to see it added. You may not have even noticed it at all because I been playing all day and it has only popped up 4 Or so times for me.
Weird. Now unless I turn off wifi, the game will crash a few seconds after being launched. I don't understand the deal with weekly new jetpack/costume. Does it mean a new jetpack/costume is lost forever if you don't buy it when it's still for sale?
Very disappointed with their decision to put ads in. I paid for it when it wasn't a freemium game. I found pleasure in this though, serves them well.
I played a dozen or more rounds of the new version, and haven't seen any ads--and I think I got the game after it went free. But I did buy the coin doubler (my method of choice for supporting truly great F2P titles) so maybe that's why. Not much new yet--since I'm waiting for the Wave Rider to become unlocked--but there are some new cosmetic items and some new missions. No complaints here.
Mebbes just me but I bought this on day one, completed it 70 odd times and just wish they'd make another great game (sorry, but fish out of water just wasn't it for me) rather than tinkering with old beauties. Beefheart never added to Trout Mask Replica.
I wonder if this game will ever get the same content on Playstation and the PSVita with updates that it has on the ios.
Anyone knows what the Mrs. Doubtfries is? I tought there would be another character on the screen or something but I wanna know who is she and what the game means when say about her
She was a purchasable character costume, (lady in a purple dress) however I think that some items are only available for a short time, not sure if they are on a loop. I got the guitar jetpack a couple of days ago and this was also listed as a special item, available for a few days. Check back regularly in the stash as I think that new items randomly appear
Her head is 'MAKE UP' and her body is 'PURPLE DRESS'. I've only bought the head so far, but the body is still available in my setup. (If you are too young to remember, 'Mrs. Doubtfire' was a 1993 movie staring Robin Williams in drag, so Mrs. Doubtfires is Barry in a dress.) Also, the Wave Runner became active yesterday while I was playing. I think 'dolphin' would have been a better name for it, but it will be interesting to learn. Has anyone purchased a 'random' item?
Hey guys, Thanks for your feedback regarding the latest update. We try to read it all and always do our best to take it on-board. Here's a quick explanation of the rolling inventory system for those asking: Basically, all jetpacks and clothing items are now on a giant loop. There will always be a set number of items available for purchase and these items will be updated every week. As new ones come in, others will be cycled out. These could be completely new items or well known fan-favourites making their return. The process continues so that those items which have been temporarily removed from the game will return once a loop is completed. Freshly added content will remain in rotation for approximately 22 weeks. Any purchases are permanent and will remain in your inventory for good. It's also important to note that no items have been permanently removed from the game! There's a huge number of upcoming items and we can't wait to reveal them all. In fact, we've actually doubled the amount of content! Check back each Friday to see which ones have been added and let us know what you think. Thanks heaps, Peanuts (Halfbrick Community Coordinator)
Any idea why the game crashes on my iPad2 Peanuts? I'm running iOS5.0.1 (not enough space to update OS for now) and it seems that the game runs fine, but right after connected to Gamecenter it crashes. I can still play if I turn off wifi, but it's not very convenient that way >_>
