I'd like to do my duty by reporting a bug: Go to the achievements page in the stash (i'm using GC, don't know if this happens with OF) and press an achievement. When the description pops up, leave and go to either the jetpack section or the clothes section and press anything you own for its description. When you go back to the achievement, the description will be the same as the description of the item you just checked. I'm not completely sure as to all of the bugs details, but that seems to be a surefire way to "activate" it. Also: THe GaME IS FInALLY MMMIIIIIIIIINNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!
I'd like to see costumes. Like, you can customize what you want and make it into a costume, so you don't have to keep going into the stash to change what Barry is wearing.
Game Impressions Just got this and I have to say I am very disappointed. Gameplay is addicting but the IAP totally makes it a turn off! Average you'll be making about 150-300 coins a game, so why would you spend 7500 coins on a top hat for my character that does absolutely nothing? You wouldn't! Those items are only in there because of IAP! They are encoouraging IAP. Also the upgrades are completely useless, wont help you get any farther. I thought this game would be like Berzerk Ball (Which is the best flash style game on the app store in my opinion) in which you get coins to purchase upgrades so that you can do better and get farther in the game, but thats not the case with this game unless you cough up some cash.
The Hog is the best because Barry pulls out his good old Winchester and TERMINATES (get it?! that's a clever pun damn it!) those scientists who bumble about and get in the way. I really do love this game. It's hard to describe. It's got the perfect pacing for coins and unlocking... As well as a CoD like ability to "prestige" when you rank up... The "missions" are brilliant addition. As is the slot machine at the end of the round. Anyways, it may be midnight, but the iPhone is recharged so I'm off to go steal another machine gun jetpack. Cheers ! EDIT: I don't understand how some people are peeve'd at the IAP? I rack up tons of coins just playing normally (the magnet upgrades REALLY help), but I mean finishing missions gives you a pretty generous bonus of coins... I've bought my Nerd Glasses, bought some items (to complete some missions) and upgraded a few of the vehicles already and I only played for an hour... I'd say it's a non-issue.
How exactly does the teleporter work? It should be obvious but I've only gotten it once and can't remember if it teleports exaxtly to where you tap, or along the purple beam that keeps moving up and down.
Ahh awesome find man! I'll add it to the bug list, thanks for that! PM me your Openfeint user name and I'll send a little reward your way
Absolute rubbish. Newsflash: People who aren't you like things that you don't like. A lot of people like customising characters, upgrading abilities, and earning achievements, all of which the abundant in-game currency allows you to do. The days of IAP warranting instant outrage are long gone, I'm afraid; you missed the boat by a wide margin. Between normal collection, level bonuses and spin wins, it is not necessary (or even "encouraged") to spend any real money to achieve or acquire anything in this game; if you persist in insisting that it is, you're either woefully misguided or deliberately trolling.
Play the game with the intention of having a good time, and topping your previous high scores and/or distance run. If you play only to unlock everything, you might as well just stop.
I've got 1,120 in the teleporter (which is my favorite), ~1,000 in the others and only 620 in the gravity suit. I hate that thing. D: NONE of the coin items are there to change gameplay in any way. Except utilities, but you don't need those either. Not one of them is anything but aesthetics. The coins are easily get-able (that is SO a word!), versus so many other games. Take a look at Gun Bros and get back to us afterwards. The point is, you don't have to buy anything. You can be first on the leaderboards and still play Scrooge McDuck, saving every coin you picked up and brooding over every one you missed. Makes no difference.
So people wouldn't spend 7500 game coins on an item that does nothing, but they would spend real money on the same item? And anyone throwing down real money on the game so they can buy the top hat immediately won't have an advantage over you at actually playing it. That's the reverse of encouraging IAP, I'd say. Either the customization items are pointless to you or they aren't, but the game isn't going to force you to spend more so you can buy something you don't want.
Instabought tonight at 2AM !! Thanks halfbrick to' bring us the best games on the AppStore!! You're the best!!
That's another thing. The game gets boring easily because I literally have nothing to look forward too. Maybe achievmens but that's it, then it's just trying to get on the leaderboards. I was hoping that upgrades would be more signifiant, of course not so dramatic that players can cheat but nough to give you something to keep looking forward too. The upgrades are pointless and that makes the IAP pointless too. To those on the fence about this game, I say skip it, your not missing anything. You get what you see, a basic endless runner, nothing more, nothing less.
Actually, it becomes very easy to get cash. I am a level ten, and have bought: steam jetpack, fragger helmet, grass skirt and 2 750 metre starts. I haven't bought any IAP. I get 500-800 coins a game, any way. Including the bonuses, about 2000 every 2 or 3 matches. Also I found a bug, but it's not that bad. I bought a grass skirt, and when I ride the hog, it goes to the normal jeans.
True, but a very polished and quite fun endless runner nonetheless. Most people seem to like it, though. I thought I did, but then I realized it's been several hours since I started playing....... What device are you using?
A bit glitchy like when you start the game the first time suddenly openfient appears . Also there needs to be different maps each time OTHER than that, absolute blast
Does anyone know if the gamecenter leaderboards are ipad/iphone specific or universal? And are they exclusive to each country? I feel like i should know this, but anyway
