Just to update people. We are still in review. We do not use Unity - we use our own custom engine. The only thing we use 3rd party is Openfeint and that should not be a problem. I'm wondering, do apps using Openfeint take longer to go through the testing process? Can any devs answer this who have used Openfeint and have been approved?
Phew! But it still makes me sad now when I think of the Ravensword devs... Well atleast there will be one good game comming out soon! (hopefully! )
In my experience (I'm not a dev but my close friend is), OpenFeint only delays the review process by 1-2 hours, although it's kinda hard to guage with the erratic approval times) My guess is that the testers just check to make sure that OF is functioning normally. Also, I'm really glad Jet Car Stunts doesn't use Unity. This game was the first thing I thought of when I read the front page article
I feel sorry for the Ravensword people - if that happened to us I would be so pissed off; when you know it was not your fault
It has been more than a day hasn't it ? Also, after watching the time trial video , it seems to be like a pretty hard game which is obviously Awesome, but u know the turns and everything were quite hard... Well, just another reason to get this baby onto the iphone ...
That was one of the harder time trial levels... some of the earlier ones you can boost around the track with the jet on full - it takes practice but it can be done.
All the leaderboards have been cleared now... which means no more impossible times to beat from Luke and I So things are in place for release. The wait is killing me. I just want it out the door and on the App store now!
more than 24hours just for reviewing one app? How did the even managed to get 10.000 reviewed, not to mention how they did it with 100.000?!
