The new video was uploaded with good timing to coniside with being in review http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOS5mOi8HDc This time we have a video showing of one of the more difficult time trial levels. btw, somebody always ends up embeding the videos posted here, but, is it posible for me to do that my self, or is it a power user thing?
@trueaxis: to emb à vid just make [ youtube] than the letters that are After v= [ / youtube] without the spaces
0.o i knew how to do it, but i can't remember it. not sure, but i think you can copy the embed url under the video discription and paste it on your post...
is the latest video running on a 3gs or latest gen device. It looks very smooth. How will it run on an Iphone 3g ?
I think all the videos have been taken with an iPod Touch 2G. The game is extremly smooth. The iPhone 3G is also perfectly smooth, appart from the occasional slight stutter which seems to have something to do with push notification or some of the new firmware 3.0 functionality in the phone. With flight mode on, frame rate should stay perfect always. Andy who did the optimization was really obsessive about keeping at 30fps on the older devices, and keeping the game loop synced, so that the 30fps looks as smooth as possible.
That video was made on a 2nd gen ipod... The game runs just the same on a 3g and any iDevice really. We are very proud that the game even runs on a 1st gen iPod with no difference in frame rate to the 2nd gen iPod. lol You beat me to it Luke
