Feel the same. Want to have a challenging race for them as well. They in turn can up the ante. (Think thats how I'm doing it. Little confusing to me still).
Back to finishing off the DLC now. Here is the first image of a lit level from the DLC. It will probably be very first track and is very easy. The final track in the pack however, will be harder then anything you have seen yet! There will also be more in-air steering needed, and air brake usage, and new crazy things.
Looks way nice! I like that track posted and brings me to ask just how many are you making that are platforms vs the ones posted? Meaning somewhat more connected than platform style? (I do see a gap in this one but overall its connected and looks great). Having a super time with the time trial mode and became an intermediate racer..... for the moment. Big fan now and appreciate the DLC content on the way and anxiously looking forward to it. oh yea.......how many levels (as asked previously) and again....what's the balance on these vs platform and more (somewhat) connected tracks that are great for drifting and beating out the clock?
Man that looks nuts! Sweet pic. Will the DLC pack include the lite version tracks? No biggie if not but I had to ask. Also more in-air steering is a HUGE plus!
Awesome game loved the contest, came 2nd on hard c can't wait for the dlc one question any chance for some open gl 2.0 graphic extras along the line
I've been playing the "lite" version since it came out and was lucky enough to win a promo code yesterday. I fully understand now why it was voted Best Game of 2009. Really is a lot of fun.
Luke? Do you know if OF plans to do another contest for JCS? Fieldrunners had 2 so i don't see why not
We have got 25 platforming levels in a playable state and I am now going through and finishing them off, but are not planning on any time trials at this point. Some of the earlier, easier tracks might be good for drifting. Most probably we will allow people to get the lite tracks into the full game in some way at some point not too far away. Thanks a lot to everybody for downloading the lite version btw! Just to clarify, more in-air steering means there are some levels that will require you use it more, not that the car can steer more in the air. But for JCS2 we want to do different cars, some of which will handle quite differently. Not sure yet, concentrating on the DLC first. I think not, but feel free to go to there website and bug them Could be cool to have a mini contest on the lite version of the game... but I guess there next gold game will be coming soon.
More images to show progress adding ambiance and lighting to all the DLC levels. You might be able to notice some jagged shadows, because I'm just doing all the lighting in low quality at the moment. High quality lighting takes a lot longer, so we will do that once we decide the levels don't need any more changes. 2/25 3/25
fixed.... I noticed something a bit odd happend when I was previewing, but I could see the images, so I didn't worry Anyway, go back to the previous page if you want to see some new DLC images.
