I was talking about the slight possibility of sneaking in a level editor to JCS2 in the touchgen interview I just did. I wonder what else I said that I probable shouldn't have... ;)

Its definatly something I think about, and have I have a few ideas on how we could do it in an interesting way... but it could be a bit limited, and miss out on the nice lighting... but it is just one of many ideas we have on our wish list for the sequal.

AWESOME. Clearly I'll be buying that on the day of release.

I noticed that Jet Car Stunts Lite just slipped into the top 100 games in the US! Thanks to everybody who has downloaded it so far.

Well it was 21 in racing the day the lite was released. Now it's 16 and in the 60's in action.

Its a bit too hard to tell exactly what effect the lite is having so far with a lot of promotions for the OpenFeint competition that is just finishing, and the normal weekend sales increase, and the increase we got once we started promoting the lite version before we released, it definatly helped, but its still early days.

Woot!!!! Last minute #1 score on intermediate B...

Someone beat my score and I worked hard at getting it back! Check out the shortcut as compared to #2's shortcut(I did it by accident;))

I was just checking the leaderboards on 'Jet Car Sunts Lite' for the first time. Every one of my best times has been beaten, mostly by a long way, except Time Trial C, where I am still 10 seconds ahead. I had to really get in the groove to get that time. I think that means that nobody else has managed to get a gold medal yet, the gold time for that time trial track is pretty tough.

I'm sure somebody will beet the that time sooner or later. Its amazing what a difference it can make when you get in a groove in time trial, and you keep your speed from the last lap into the next lap.

I'm curious to hear what people think of the new time trial levels. They are a bit shorter, and have walls and the roads are wider... I find them more fun, although, on 'B' and 'C' I wish we had of made the corners not quite so tight.

personally i love the time trial maps, they feel like a racing track but jet car stunts trial

    BUG
when playing JCS lite and full, if your holding the JET button and you get a text message and choose to close (ignore) the text, then when you get back to the game it will not let you use the JET button again until you land or a few seconds delay. cant find the definate reason for when it starts to work again but its one of those two

Thats an interesting bug. I guess it might be anoying if you get lots and lots of text messages, although, everytime I'm interupted by a message, I usually crash as soon as I return to the game anyway;)

Agreed that the time trials are great. Also, I like that Easy A is easier (e.g. no breaks in the track; wider, with less sharp turns) than the Easy A in the paid version, making it more enjoyable for my girlfriend to play.

Quick question: When your in the air (floating) does it matter if your only pressing the afterburner and not the gas at the same time? Is your speed the same no matter what, whether pressing both buttons or just the afterburner?

I also need to comment on this. As a first time player of both lite/full I played last night and very frustrated with the jumping of separated platforms. (I understand this makes the game for a lot of others but....)

Thought it would contain some full/not separated tracks and could race once the learning curve was met and found the beginning a complete turn-off because of the constant learning curve for each separated track and when you've got it down/completed then it's on to the next separated track. (I know you can replay but most would simply move on once completed) and then another learning curve. Because of this I almost shelved it. Was beginning to be more of a puzzle game actually.
I don't mind a learning curve within a game but sure would like to enjoy myself once a track was learned that was more to actual racing, but this is constant with separated tracks.

Anyway...I decided to try again this morning because really liked the game (just not the separated tracks) and found the FULL/not separated tracks available in the time trails mode.
This is what will make it a 5 star review for me. And now anxious for JCS2 (if it has some flat/not separated tracks to balance it out for players like me). I don't mind little jumps, small gaps, or something a little more realistic in driving. But tracks that are more puzzle-like in having to figure out is simply not my type of game.

Again....I understand everyone has their own love of certain type tracks and I'm still rather new to the game and of course I don't have all the info but just commenting on what I've experienced for a first time player.:)

Ya I've noticed that since the original game but when I go back I'm out of it anyways so I restart.

On time trials. They are so much more fun to race ghosts on. I tied my ghost twice haha. This is the kind of map where I wish I could race people. But racing others in this ame would only work if they appeared as ghosts to you

Just got 'Time Trial Gold' achievement in the Lite version, . On 'C' I made it by about 0.01 seconds, still trailing about 2.5 seconds behind your 1:55 @ #1 for that track. You're right about the groove you need to be in for time trials. The dynamic balance needed to be maintained between frequent risky boosting and safe corning makes them challenging in general.

I got the lite version of this game, and well, I'm not sure what all the hype is about. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but what is the obsession with it?

(not to bash, I'm just wondering why so many people are into it)

I love it because it's so rare to find a ame by an independent developer that has great 3d graphics and good controls. I know all the shadows aren't real but that doesn't mean they don't look good. Plus I enjoy the over the top jumps and drifts. How many other games like this are in the app store?

but i think you just heard too much hype before trying it. the same thing happened to me with space miner. i thought it was fun but didnt know what everyone was going so crazy about
