really nice one especially with this replay-feature, nice to see people race without loosing control at all. I'm still a rookie at this game Like someone mentioned before, a Cockpit-View would be amazing. Also some kind of Warp-Effect around the car when boosting (like NFSS).
A very helpful user helped us track down a way to cause this data loss bug to occur. If start Jet Car Stunts, then exit almost immediately, then you can have your data overwritten. We accidentally had some save on exit code which was not ment to be in the project because we save every time you stats are updated. It seems most likely that this save on exit code is the cause of all these data problems because it can also potentially time out and fail, so we are going to do an update to remove it, as well as doing more error checking. But for now make sure that you don't exit the game before the main menu to avoid potential data loss. The coming update 1.3.2 will fix this. Anyway, there should be more details coming about our pre-dlc suprise soon. I'm worried some people might be a little anoyed with the way we are going to do this... but there will actually be a hand full of new JCS levels to play available soon.
wowww i just did the thing that I wasnt supposed to do and i lost all my progress. Except on the bright side it kept all my records and my places on the leaderboards so im not at too much loss. oh and how many levels will be in the little bundle coming in the next few weeks
Yes, that makes sense. I was just thinking about what I did to make the glitch happen and I did "play" Jet Car Stunts for about 5 seconds, which deleted my data.
Well damn. I kind of didn't like Jet Car Stunts all that much before. So I took it off my iPhone, extreme disappointment set in, and I pretty much said goodbye to the game, period. But I decided to give it another shot, and I'm really loving it this time around. I don't know what changed, but I've been having a really good time with it now. It's a lot of fun, and although it's difficult, it's... fun I still don't have the right mindset to say stuff like "Okay, if I cut this corner, or jump at this angle, I'll get a better time", but I'm getting there. Really fun game, and I feel really bad for not giving it the best chance before. Great game, True Axis, even though it's apparent you don't need to hear me say it
I mentioned earlier that OpenFeint will be running some Jet Car Stunt competitions. They will be competitions running from March 19 - 28th so will go live very soon. I'll post a link when I get it. Prizes will be given for the best platforming times posted during the competion on selected easy, intermediate and hard tracks. You will be able to view the current leader on the OpenFeint website. Are there any plans to make the "impossible" levels accessible in casual mode? If not, I will never get to play them as the platforming is just way too hard for me on normal.
anychance the next update could have a feature to download or check game progress through OF? so that people who suffered the save game problem can get their progress back
