thanks a lot! now leaderboards are more enjoyable. I also hope the replays will not be auto submitted to OF.

Replays only get submitted when you beat your top score... which is the case most people want - top score with a replay. If you are offline and beat your top score the replay will be remembered, as well as the top score, and uploaded when you go online the next time. Uploads are extremely quick - the replay data has been compressed to fit into 50k for max time. Most replays will come under well that.

than means the first place will be always held by more skilled in driving player, for someone who can get first places because of his other skills, like to find tricks or possibilities to get better times - there is no chance. A little bit unfair i would say.

thats how the leaderboards work anyway. if anything this helps you as you get to see how they did it and possibly improve on it and get top spot

The way it works is how the leaderboards work now. Everyone will post a time on the leaderboard as well as a replay. Leaderboards list the top players first down to the worst.

The thing about the replays is that you can see how the top players are using the track, their shortcuts and how they handle the car. Which means you as a player can learn from that and improve.

Also, when you list your friends you can see their times and replays and race them in your own friends group.

Also, if you complete a normal game you can send challenges to your friends, so that they can race ghost to beat you.

I don't think this system is unfair and there's a crap full of options to use the replays.

It's actually good fun loading them in and just watching them and playing around with the camera options. It's also good fun when you pull off something impossible and you think think wow but I wish my friends could see this, and they can if you send it out as a challenge or if you beat your top score on the leaderboards for everyone to see.

I sorry that you don't like these types of games... you don't know what you are missing but I guess everyone has their own personal tastes.

i mean if you are tricky enough and can analyze track and find spots where u can cover up driving errors or find the best way to drive some areas - u can still be at the top of leaderboards. With always open replays this is different, players who dont want to think but can handle iphone more precise will just look at your race, get the idea and just beat your score. For example in bike or die it was possible to close replays if one wants to. And therefore this system with always open replays is unfair, games are not only reflexes but thinking also!

But with this system you can also improve... My driving skills improved loads by trying to beat my own times. I'm not the best player at this game but I managed to get into some top 25 tables.

You are right in saying everything is in the open and nothing can be kept secret but I guess that's the nature of replays connected to the top times.

eev, I actually did consider what you are saying before we added this feature. It is a pity that somebody can't get a high score by finding a good trick or short cut now and leave everybody else wondering how they did it.

However, I think the benifits out weights this loss.

I think that the majoraty of people really want to see how people get those good times, even if they can't get close, its fun just to see how it was done. Also, if there is no replay, people will tend to beleive it was a cheet.

Anyway, you still have the oportunity to find a good short cut, and hold first place for a while.

Actuallly, just thinking about it, maybe we should sugest to the openfeint guys the idea of adding a feature to record peoples best position on the charts and how long they held it for.

Also for anybody who missed it, check out the youtube video on the previous page showing off the new replay feature.

well i understand what u are saying Axis-crew, you have a good points. i understand that most players will benefit from this open feature. just for someone like me, who is not that good in reflexes and dont have really time to play a lot (family, job etc.) but with some tricks could manage to get on top - this system is so so. but i am in minority here and actually should not care about games that much anymore, so i concede. :D

That has to be the quickest approval by Apple ever. I uploaded the new version on Thursday about 5.30pm Australian time and have just received an email at Friday 5.15am saying it's been approved.

Expect it in the App Store in the next 24 hours :) Happy ghost racing everyone :)
