This game is awesome fun,its just crying out for more tracks, ghost car, online comp, level designer etc etc.... Comparisons to Trackmania are inevitable which is a good thing as Trackmania is the benchmark for this kind of racer but as its not on any i-device this rocks.... Can't wait to see what the future is for this title..
buttons Awesome game, reminds me of track mania. Imagine if this became multiplayer!!!!!!! on the slim chance that the developer reads this....buttons! every game i play has button issues. there are four buttons (jet, airbrake, accel, brake) there are also four corners of the screen! why cant we just have an area to press? I for one keep missing the jet button, keep pressing above it for some reason. gotta say jet car stunts buttons arent the worst iv seen (fifa anyone?) plus im no programmer so it might be harder to impliment than i think but...just say'n I can also just get used to it.....
Simply the best racing game and one of the most impressive graphical and design i have seen on the appstore. Fun, a little hard at times but that just adds to the replay value.
Interesting point but I'm glad your still enjoying the game despite that. One point to make... maybe you already know... but you can go to the options screen and try a different button layout. However, no matter which layout, the buttons are always just as small. I'm looking forward to the day in the future when all these touch screen devices have tactile screens so you can feel if you are pressing a programable button or not. I hope that happens.
Pretty Nice Game! I'm ranked #4 in the Easy Game Level 2! Together with Der-Kleine who is ranked #2!!
gosh darn it now im all offended. Well it certainly does not make Eliminate "un-co". Or touch KO for that matter. In fact as far as co-ordination goes, not having to look where you are pressing makes for a much more accessable and in depth gaming experience. compare trying to use the left 'movement' joystick in eliminate (floating) with the one in in sandstorm (fixed). The benefit of not ever worrying about nailing your left thumb position on the screen has saved me from dying many a time im sure. Think about it. Im sure ive seen this discussed before.... Four action buttons=four huge areas of screen real-estate! actual images of buttons are fine. But why limit the actual touch area to the image. You should be able to know roughly where a button is and hit it every time without looking. unless its some strategy game with a thousand command buttons...
yep, keep it nice its was vailid sugestion. Although, I will just point out that having the four buttons in the for corners wouldn't be so good because the pause and retry buttons come in pretty handy. Retry can save a lot of frustration... and pause->restart comes in very handy if you are trying to beat a really good time. In those cases, you start using them a lot.
Of course Thanks for chiming in! Just wanna say this is the type of game I just have to keep coming back to. A kind of healthy adictive frustration. I think the super quick restart times and the uber fun track designs are just the ticket.
What a fantastic game! The controls are surprisingly deep. Nice radiosity rendering on the tracks there, too. People in this forum reference Trackmania a lot but I had to think more of Rollcage Stage II's Scramble mode... I bet you guys know that game Couple of thoughts, IT'S HARD. The difficulty level is just very, very cruel. I TOTALLY LOVE that. This may be the thing that made RC2 Scramble so successful. It's like crack cocaine, but stronger. The control icons look a bit clumsy - jazzing them up and making them more like white-ish overlays could work. Also, accelerate could be bigger than brake (used more often). Touch areas should be substantially larger. The checkpoints are planted in the road at the sides -- often at races I end up driving into them at least once; annoying, as you have back up. A small tutorial would be helpful -- I only just accidentally found out you can steer vertically while in jet flight. Very secondary point, but in general, the menu is quite "1990's spartan" with the lack of music and the rough sfx/typography. May put off reviewers. OK, enough writing, back to gaming now...
I could if I wanted - but somehow I don't think it would be fair When the leaderboards get nearer to what my times were, then I'll start playing
