I think I've given up on the last Intermediate time trial it's the only level I haven't gotten a gold medal on. Got the massive 150-OFpoints achievements though
one for getting a gold medal on all impossible platforming and another for all gold on hard time trials
I'm boycotting this game until the developer removes the link to a JCS replay, whose channel ostensibly exists for the advocation of illegal music streaming using p-2-p via some smartphone app. Check out the number of views and decide for yourself. I thinking it's highly suspect that his top favorited JCS videos happens to be linked to a channel violating the law by through its advocacy of piracy. Early in this thread, the True Axis requested a video of Impossible E "done cleanly," and Luke Ryan even went as far as to state that he was "surprised" that people had unfortunately found a way to [paraphrasing] "cheat the first obstacle as well as jump over the wall." Therefore this particular "favoriting" of a video in which not one, but two, obstacles are "cheated" (to use Luke Ryan's words) is highly suspect. The rubik's cube videos could have been done by someone besides the person making the afformentioned JCS replay video, so those solve videos offer zilch to substantiate anything else presented. How could this dev ever complain about piracy, if he's willing to indirectly screw musicians?
I really can't even make enough sense of this post to figure out if you're a troll or not. Is this a one-way hash argument? Well done, kind sir. I applaud you and your efforts to so confuse other readers that they will also 'boycott' a game that they, and you, most likely already own. I'm sure the OpenFeint servers will miss you terribly.
There's is no way we advocate piracy... Please PM the link to to video/channel and I will get Luke to remove the link. I presume you mean a link on our YouTube channel? The videos were linked into our channel because they show people playing the game and is used as a marketing tool to promote it. There was no intention to connect ourselves to piracy indirectly, if that is the case.
Has anyone done E cleanly yet? I haven't seen any replays, besides mine, of E done in zero retries without skipping both the first obstacle and the wall. There is a "wr video", but it skips several obstacles and is linked to an illegal music streaming video, so that replay video can be ruled out. edit: How could you favorite a frank pirate's video, when not only does he skip both obstacles, but he doesn't even do the last section in the way you claim to be the most difficult? Something is extremely fishy here. I'm filing a report with both youtube and the RIAA. From this point on, it up to you to do the right thing. I've archived both your youtube page showing that as the top favorited video as well as the offending users channel. I hope that any musicians having their music is being stolen via the youtube advocacy (which I also archived and have reported directly to youtube) by your "favorite" get to play JCS for free. edit: go ahead and ban me. See if I give a shit.
Ah, the classic 'go ahead and ban me' confidence. A new account already prepared with at least a hundred other worthless posts, this sub-400 troll seems to have plenty of experience. Let's explore the world he inhabits, kids. You see, trolls live beneath bridges. And jet car stunts has bridges. Clearly he is upset that the kids are blasting their 'pirated' music too loudly as they are skipping over his bridge. In his little trollish mind, scientists have discovered that he's probably thinking "If they ban me, then I will be proven right!" Unfortunately, his logic does not hold: the moderators are not the same as the alleged linkers. And finally, and most importantly, NEVER FEED THE TROLL! Do not under ANY circumstances engage him in a debate about how nobody wants to see a Youtube video about an iphone game just to listen to a song in low quality. He will only eat more of your spirit.
Can you explain what you mean by saying this on our youtube channel: "You know you stole intellectual property in the production of this game." Because all the work done on Jet Car Stunts was done by Luke and I - all code and artwork was produced by us. The sound effects were commissioned and payed for to a professional games sound engineer who has worked on some top games. All tools that we used to produce the game are legal... So can you explain what you mean by your statement, please?
If one goes to the TrueAxis page and clicks the video appearing at the very top of "favorites," one is brought to a channel in which a video with almost 200,000 hits, uploaded by the channel owner, is advocating piracy. Unlike a troll, I will testify against you in a court of law, if ever called upon to do so directly. The first image is that of True Axis' Youtube page, as is it is appearing on Feb 2, 2010. Note the single "favorite" appearing in the lower-right of the page. That is the literal "link" to True Axis via Youtube.
And what the hell does that have to do with True Axis? A random player who also happens to download illegal music did a world record...whether he's hacking or just good it has nothing to do with them. One of the most fail posts I've seen ever.
It's funny most your recent posts have been about high scores on games, claiming somebody hacked it, or that it's fake.
Please stop feeding the troll. He will only continue to hijack the thread worse. As to the court of law, I challenge you, sir, to follow up on this. Please testify against me in one. The glove has been dropped.
Well that's a separate issue. It is an established fact that hacked scores appear at the top of several popular idevice games, including JCS (e.g. 5 lap time trial under 60 seconds, etc). I am by no means the first person to complain about cheating. Others in this thread have also noted the cheating going on in time trial mode as well.
