The plan was to release new levels in Feb but the current update is adding some features that the OpenFeint people wanted to see. I have to say ghost mode is extremely fun, which adds to the game.

As soon as this update is out then the next update will be levels :) But at least we, as developers, are expanding the game and we do listen to what people want - so just hang in there and all will be rewarded :)

I used to have 4.5gb of dross on my phone. Now I've got two games.... Chinatown Wars and Jet Car Stunts. I can't believe that spider game is winning awards over this masterpiece of coding. I can't wait for the new levels.

@luke or anyone at Trueaxis. I'm 38 yrs old and was a kid when 'Elite' came out by Acornsoft'. Will you please make an open-ended space trader next. Something ultra-realistic with real physics in space, multiple jobs and time-coded plotline within a sandbox universe ?????? You're the the only devs I'd trust to do a proper job. Thanks for the great game.

Why settle for a remake when you can have the original? Elite is on it's way via Commodore 64 (confirmed, dev goofed and it appeared for purchase in the app momentarily...)

Actually, Andy (TrueAxis) is getting a bit confused there. We never had a plan to release the level pack in Feb or any precice time (I'm in charge of getting the thing done). It was always going to depend on what other things we where doing. As Andy said, the next update will not have levels, but it will have new OpenFeint features. After that, for me, the level pack will be the highest priority. However, we may also have some other updates and things happening inbetween.

We already have the done the first rough layout for a lot of new levels and so far, I think I am more happy with them then the origonal levels. There are a few good ideas that some how got left out of the origonal levels that will make it in to the new set. Working on them is great fun, and I am looking forward to finishing them off and getting them out to you guys.

I'm too lazy. Plus Ive been trying to get some faster times on platforming.

@andy and Luke when you do the new levels will you try to test them more to get rid of all the MAJOR cuts in the courses. I don't mind some, but when you can complete a course in 20 seconds that you would usually take a minute doing is kind of annoying and ruins the leaderboards.

Woohoo placed 16 on intermediate A. Platforming. Haven't placed in the top 5 since the first two weeks this was out.

There will probably be a bit more thought put into that for the level pack. I knew there where some big short cuts but I was pretty suprised by the way some levels could be mostly skipped. Still, I expect there will be some big short cuts again for the level pack in places.

thanks for this, it's great news ! Would still like TrueAxis to build an updated version with proper Newtonian physics for space flight. Even if you port the sequel 'Frontier' and update the missions / graphics / interface. I'm pretty certain TrueAxis would do the genre justice and produce a polished sandbox universe that would be fun to explore for months/years.

Don't listen to who? They said they'd most likely have a dlc pack.

Also never checked the leaderboards since the short cuts are existing.
Just saw the YouTube videos, was totally stunned. But now, I know, that competition is worthless in here :) But to me, that's totally not the point of the game. Just beating the tracks is rewarding enough :)
