Normal mode on hard levels, trying to get some gold medals. It just automatically resets me to the last checkpoint even though my run is 'perfect'. That's all.
You mean you where reset to the previous check point with out falling off the track, smashing to bits, or resting upside down, or pressing the reset button? Ok, I've never seen that or heard of that before. Its hard to see how that could be possible from the code. I'm wondering if it is possible you some how managed to accidentally press the reset button, the pressable area for buttons is bigger then before in 1.2... still the reset button is a long way from the other buttons.
Hello, you are right. and no, i didn't accidentally hit the reset button. the screen is very clear from my fingers except for my thumbs (which are really far away from the reset button).
Its really hard to believe thats possible with out seeing it with my own eyes (Thats sometimes the way with strange bugs). Any more details you could give us would be help full. Like, which levels exactly? Is it always the same level and the same position? You mentioned it happened after going through a check point, did anything else significant happen just before the retrys? How frequently did it happen? How easy is it to reproduce?
Hard Level C, and the other one I forgot, it's either Hard A or B. No, it's not easy to reproduce because it just happened while Im racing. Before the reset there was nothing significant that happened, I was just racing as normal and perfectly. Yes I know that this thing probably only happened to me.

i know it pisses me off lol. When this game first came out i had #1 spots on 4 or 5 maps but then a week later he found these cuts and posted the videos and i flew off the charts
Except for being the first player to have both gotten golds in every time trial, and posted videos of every "Hard" time trial replay on Youtube, my only 1-up on Lebrida/Leon was that I had #2 on Impossible D and posted the replay (first impossible D on Youtube - same channel name as my TA handle)) before he was even in the top 25-40 for that track. A few days later his "wr" appears on the charts but no replay was posted. Just about the only tracks for which he has posted replays are the ones with shortcuts, yet he has many records on time trials and never shared any replay of those. I would win against that guy online if there was a live race mode in JCS. I'm just not a 14 year old playing JCS Platforming Mode and Rally pro constantly, unlike that guy. Since I was the only player who posted any replays of time trials on Youtube several weeks after JCS was released (he was already a leader on "Platforming" the day I bought JCS), and Leon/Lebrida had no scores posted (=didn't get any medal) for *any* intermediate or hard TT's before I posted a Gold replay for many of them, I can only assume that he was able to get on the board after seeing my videos. No way to prove me wrong, especially since he commented on my videos. Hundreds of people beat the time trials before he beat a single one, meaning that they were getting better entertainment from the entire app.I don't think availability of playing time was a factor for him (i.e. no excuses), considering that he obviously plays JCS and Wii semi-professionally. The devs are terrible at JCS by their own admission (i.e. in this thread), which is why they would be expected take to his kind of play, which skips so many intricate obstacles (e.g. the "hole" in Impossible C, which I posted a gold video of weeks ago). The only reason I haven't posted any new times in JCS in the last few weeks is that a) I removed the app accidentally and b) would reinstall, but it pisses me off that the devs have still neglected to remove several of the obviously bogus entries on the Time Trial boards. When those are gone, I'll shave some more seconds off each of my TT's, and post replays, while being on the look-out for those of Leon/Lebrida.

We will have to do something about those bad records on time trial. Well, Andy(known TrueAxis on this forum) might have admitted to not being so good at the game, but he wasn't speaking for me My self, I'm pretty impresed by the short cuts some peopel have found but in some ways its more impressive to see somebody do super fast perfect run with no short cuts. Looking at some of the youtube records with short cuts, I noticed that a lot more time could be shaved off by clearner driving. My self I've finished every level with gold, except platforming Impossible E(which I don't try to take short cuts on) and it took people a while before they beat my times on some levels. But, now I feel its a bit wrong for a developer to try to beat peoples times on his own game...
I've been working on a challenge mode for openfient where you race against a friends ghost car. Checkout the screen shots of the work in progress. The HUD shows the number or retrys remaining, and the time remaining to finish the level. (If anybody who knows this level looks closely, the time is too short because I used a dev build cheet to finish the level.)
