Got it! I was boosting with my finger off the accelerate! Doing both at the same time sent me flying!

Everytime the car falls off the world, or smashes to bits, or you click the 'retry button' in the top right had corner, the car will be reset back to the last check point. This is called a retry. In the Platforming levels, you are scored based on the number of retrys you need to finish the level.

In the games menus, "Lowest retrys" usually means, the lowest number of retrys you have completed the track with.

Jet Car Stunts-True Axis In one word; AMAZING!

Kudos to you guys at True Axis. These are the absolute best controls, for any iDevice game, I've played. I'm shocked by the level design and overall playability of this awesomely worthwhile game that I got all this for two measly dollars. This is one game had I paid $10 I'd have actually been just as happy:D

Oh yeah, 5 BIG Stars***** from me;)

In addition to the great gameplay, the graphics work perfectly for this game, and best of all, it runs silky smooth on my 3G.

imo the replayability and even difficulty of this game is akin to that of Hook Champ. The levels are short and sweet, and of course there's checkpoints. Instead of grappling your way from platform to platform, you are boosting -kind of like the boots :p

    Just got my first achievement-Tumble,lol!

If you haven't tumbled then you haven't played JCS.:) Seriously, looking through the Achievments and all the tracks/races, True Axis you all have earned a loyal fan here. The game is truly a one of a kind masterpiece on iTunes.

Yeah the game is awesome. Gonna be playing this for a while. Actually, I've only played the first time trial stage to get the controls down, and I'm still having a blast. :D

And I would have gladly paid probably up to 10 bucks for this and been completely satisfied with the purchase, the $1.99 price tag is a total steal.

    (though I'm still glad I bought Canabalt! :p )

Wow, just unlocked hard, everything is amazing! Intermediate 5 is really tough!

Update: Hard 3 is really hard. Been fun NotYou (my OF name is watever4) but I'm gonna hit the hay.

WOW! At first I felt a little buyer's remorse, but then I started to understand the subtleties of the controls and how fun it was to interact with the environment! It is so challenging, yet it keeps you on the edge of your seat without frustration!

    Bravo

The "wings" are actually air breaks. They catch the air and slow you down in the air. When doing that it also gives you better control... That or boosting more in the air. :D

What I see is the wings act as a glide mechanism. It's a fine balance if you need to boost or glide on certain jumps. Some you need to boost until your at the peak, then hit the wings/flaps for your arc of descention.

Apple decide to release the game after I've given up on it coming out and go out and buy Modern Warfare 2...

    *sigh*

Yeah, all that, plus they act as a stabilizer if you're tumbling.
