are there any plans for JCS racing? (in the not too distant future) JCS is pretty much lovable in every aspect ( i equally enjoy both time trial + platforming modes ) yet the idea of a Jet Car Racer would tick all of my other inner-racing-desires within me dying to burst out
Space Tripper is that game We plan to upgrade JCS with level packs using DLC. But we also plan to do a sequal for JCS which will have added game modes and lots of peoples wish lists - taking the game up to the next level. This in it's own right will be a true sequal to JCS. We did consider using DLC for this expansion but THIS sequal is by far a larger project to implement and it's best to start with a fresh beginning to do the concept justice. The release date has not been set but sometime in 2010 depending on if any other work gets in the way.
ya me too. Can't stand time trials! Anyway would like to compete against other cars(cpu or humans over wifi). That would make this good game splendid!
dlc for JCS?mmh, just wondering how will react the community after all the complaints for Fieldrunners
If the content is right, nobody will complain. Especially the people who love JCS, most of them won't have any problem to pay in-game, because they know, they get QUALITY here... I would gladly buy this game again just to support such a fantastic and cheap app. So DLC, no problem. And I guess, JCS2 will be a racing game, then a second episode would be better than DLC. Just use your fantastic skill for some new tracks suited for races and you would create the best Racing game out there. And I like the proposed title of Jet Car Racer
I would prefer DLC for a sequel over a separate version, because it takes another icon. I wouldn't mind paying for extra levels.
i agree,i don't know if other people will buy them but i think that if the contents are done the right way i'll buy them, expecially because JCS is very cheap for what it offers and i'm glad to support the developers
For the original price - 1.99USD - which includes 36 tracks this game is a bargain. We could of charged more because the quality and content is there but we wanted to offer the best deal. So charging for DLC on another set of tracks (maybe 99c) is still a bargain and people should realize that they have got a good deal still. DLC does work but you need to offer more than ripping off people, which seems to be what some of the big publishers are doing. True Axis main goal is to offer good quality games to the gamers and look after them by supporting the products we make. By doing this people will look forward to any new games we do and hopefully buy them
does this game has any 3gs optimizations? played it on a friends iphone (3g) and really liked it, really great game with good graphics. The graphics reminds me to Ambient Occlusion with Radiosity on 3d applications Wanted to purchase it after i finished Asphalt 5, but then NFS Shift came out.
And some more Racing, Platforming, Time Trials, and Stunt Arena. The plan is to offer as many modes to a car game as possible - what ever you prefer will be catered for.
I am not a fan of DLC. I do not buy DLC. I have set the restriction on my iDevice to prevent me from accidentally hitting a button that might purchase DLC. For JCS, I will absolutely shatter my rule. The game is phenomenal and one of the best bargains available. I wouldn't blink an eye at dropping a buck for more content.
@TrueAxis: Request: 1. Car customisation (could be as simple as changing colour if different body kits are too much) 2. Replay upload (to youtube or computer) 3. A better designed icon, something that goes along better with the JCS vibe (bauhaus?). The current one just doesn't have that simplicity.
We are considering 1. with adding in new cars with DLC track updates. At 2. we are thinking about this a lot. There's only one service that offers this and that is Cloudcell which belongs to Firemint... and that is not offered to developers. But we are thinking of ways to do this. At 3. we take everything into consideration and we will give this some thought.
I think True Axis needs a new logo Since this really does look, hm, hard to say.... lame? amateurish? 90s?
