I keep trying to get into Jet Car Stunts but it's still as difficult as it was when I bought it! I'm yet to pass Easy on either mode.
There will be a 99c sale over Christmas if dev wants to keep it on the top lists. I will buy it then.
If you ask me... Xmas is when all the kiddies get gift cards, so sales are likely to go up without resorting to a price reduction.
This game is amazing and sooo much fun. Every time i move to a new level i am amazed at the platforms and the open sky in the background. Its amazing that the game does not get repetitive. Im new to this thread so i don't know if this has been said before but i would love to see a level editor either online or in game. It would be awesome to build courses and challenge friends. Great game devs!
I'm curious, Do you know how to use the air brake? And that you can steer in the air when using the afterburner or airbrake. It seems that some people struggle untill they learn these two things.
I knew about it, but it took me a while before I'd use it instinctively... usually I'd forget. As for steering in the air, I kinda tried to, but it still didn't have enough of an effect to straighten up my pathetic excuse for a jump Just managed to do Easy B in 11 tries so I'm improving. I kinda got better after figuring out where the best place is to start boosting before a jump. Maybe I'm just not great with accelerometer steering, I usually opt for touch when given the choice. The place that got me killed most was the final set of ramps... kept hitting the rings in the air.
I still love this game! Only two more impossible levels to beat now... I'm SO close on impossible D...
So today I was just syncing my iPod when suddenly JCS suddenly got removed! I tried installing it again and it would not get into my iPod, just like before when I just bought the game last month. And if I do get JCS back into my iPod, then I have to start everything all over. Well, I really don't care if I start the game again, I love it so I don't mind playing it again, but I'm just annoyed at this problem and hopefully it doesn't happen again. EDIT: Okay, after about my 25th sync, JCS was able to get back into my iPod. I hope this doesn't happen again.
This is very strange... There's been a few cases about the syncing when the game first game out. The way to get it to work was to keep trying. This seems to be connected to that. Can I ask you a few questions about your setup? 1. Do you you use iTunes on the mac or pc. 2. What version of iTunes do you have. 3. Is your iDevice jailbroken. It would be nice to find out what causes this. Thanks for your input in pointing this out
I don't know if you remember but I think I was the first one to report this problem back when JCS was released. Check back on the first few pages and you can find my post. Here are the answers to the questions: 1) PC 2) I have the latest version. 3) Yes, I'm jailbroken. That could probably be the problem.
I'm suspecting it's a jailbroken problem... We never really tested for jailbroken devices. When I get some time over Xmas, I'll jailbreak one of the testing devices and look into this.
Acutally, we the iPhone 2G which we managed to get our hands on to fix the headphones bug was jailbroken. Seemed to run great on the 2G, ironically it seems even more perfect the the 3G for Jet Car Stunts.
Sorry to cut in Luke... The problem is installing the game from iTunes and not the actual playing of the game on a jailbroken device. But I was surprised that the game performs better on the 2G than the 3G.
Yep, I know, I was just saying we already have a jail broken device so we don't need to jail brake one. Ayway, no need for us to further polute the thread with this conversation, but anybody with a 2G iphone, you should definatly get Jet Car Stunts!
We change main game pic on the appstore, following a few peoples sugestion, to see how it affects the charts. As I kind of expected, it is very hard to tell if it makes a difference or not. We are currently going down in the charts in most places, except the US where we are going up. Anyway, we will a significant update ready to submit soon quite a few changes, including a tutorial, which should be good. On a completly unlreated topic, we just started a Space Tripper thread for the popular space shooter by PomPom which we are porting to iPhone and plan to publish early 2010.
I have a jailbroken iPod touch, and I've never had any problems with JCS! (same setup as the other guy)
This has only happened to a rare few people... I wonder if it's just an iTunes glitch. Very hard to test this out because it works on all the devices we have here from iTunes.
