Ah thanks, never knew the brake ewas a air brake, I knew about the tilting up and down... Never knew up tilt left and right.... those will definately help thanks.
I learned yesterday that the airbrake is also a handbrake. Up until then I had accidentally hit that button plenty of times without consciously factoring it into the ground strategy. Once it's consolidated in your technique through practice, you can take much bigger risks throughout the whole game. I often briefly hit both the airbrake/handbrake and footbrake together, when landing right before a sharp turn. This sometimes allows the car to hit the ground power drifting, and usually insures against going over the edge in the cases where it bounces too much.
I also wasnt able to beat the first level. I just played the other levels. After a while I came back to easy 1 and solved the level with the first try dont forget, that all levels of a difficulty are open, not only the first one.
Why don't you try learning the controls and practicing for a while before you post ignorant crap like this? This isn't Aqua Globs or some other game that an infant can pick up and own within 5 minutes. It's a high-quality, challenging, well thought out game, and a lot of work was put into it. Don't post crap like, "Were they high when making this game?" just because you have the attention span of a five year-old. Sorry you couldn't pick up this game and be instantly great at it, but guess what? Neither could anybody else.
I don't want to brag but I've just got the world record for Just Learning B That's about the only one I could get at some of my favorite tracks Some of you lot are putting up times that I could only dream of when testing the game... but I like to think I've still got it in me
Damn you Leon!!!! I know I can get under 18 seconds on Intermediate E, it's just a matter of time!!!! Too much time, yay work... Great find on that cut though!
I don't mean to spam, but today I unlocked the hard platforming levels and got a good 0 retry Gold time (1:10:30) on Hard C after many attempts. The hardest part of this level for me was landing on the highest platform without either tumbling over or falling off the far edge, and still having enough jet fuel left for the final small jump. http://www.youtube.com/user/Grubjelly#p/a/u/0/qn469QeWAK8 edit: I played that track again after reading your post and saw the craziest thing happen. The car flipped about 8-9 times in a row after hitting the edge of the second to last platform, causing it to dance across the gap before finally crossing the finish line. I was surprised that the car didn't shatter. Was that supposed to happen? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8n4YVYNjdg
Damn, should have made an achievement for that. I'd like to see you do that twice I think you just caught the edge just right and where just lucky not to smash to bits. Thats reminds me, I'm curious how people are going with the flip, spin and roll achievements.
Those are the hardest for me I'm still trying to figure out how to do them, I think I just need to get lucky and hit an edge perfectly like that guy above me in the youtube video. I tried atleast doing the 360 by turning sideways at the end of a jump but the car stops half way
Those stunt achievements are pretty hard. I've got a couple of the easy ones, but it seems like it's luck on the harder ones. I kind of want to know how strict they are, like if it will count a backflip if the car is very slightly corked, etc. I tried doing a couple flips that weren't completely straight, but it never counted them. Also, it seems like the only way to get a fast spin is by hitting something, there's not really a good way to force a spin. That makes it really hard to do any sort of stunt on purpose.
I think for most of the tricks you will need clip some geomtry to help you spin. I remember I found a spot on one level where I could clip something to help me do 720s and 1080s but I forgot where that was.
That's insane. I didn't know the game gets quite that difficult, even though "impossible" should have been a good tip-off. That makes the intermediate and hard levels that I've seen look like training levels in comparison.
Thats the last level, but he found some alternative oaths to take to make it easier for him. It wasn't ment to be possible to do the level that way, but, obviously it is possible.
