Wait, are people finding this game hard as in the easy levels? To be completely honest, I have stormed through all the levels through to Hard E when: -this is my first iPod Touch Racer; -I am playing on a 1G Touch; -I play very late at night when I am tired. To me, and I am probably in the minority, the difficulty level slopes perfectly, with the easy levels being easy and the hard ones being hard. The impossible ones are pretty damn hard too.
Only 29 players have posted scores for hard A in time trial so far. So either people are trying and not beating it, or they're playing the the platforming levels or other time trial tracks. The platforming are taking lots of restarts for me to get anywhere. Keeping running out of jet fuel before right before the checkpoints preceded by gaps.
i don`t say this often but: great game, guys. a casual game which is not casual at all. you cannot get a better game for this price.
I think the difficulty is perfect. Having a few next to impossible levels keeps me coming back to the game, so I really like those
I finally managed to beat impossible E so now I have gold on every track from just learning to hard and silver on all the impossible tracks. Time to go get them to the gold too Oh btw time trial is really tough, maybe a few less laps?
Yeah if it's true that most players are beating yours and the other developers' times, as you mentioned, I can imagine that having to jump that Springfield Gorge 5 times in a row would be tough. The openness of that level is sublime, with just enough of a variety of challenge types to be a classic - a hairpin turn after a jump, top speed flight, etc. One of the more classic sustained-skill time trial runs. It's not my favorite, though. EDIT: I was all set up to make a video of a complete time trial run, but then I noticed there was no calibration button. That meant JCS could only be played completely level with the ground, making it harder to capture gameplay straight on. So I made a video of some incomplete runs anyway, just for the fun of it. Here's the link, in case anyone's interested. The (poor quality) video shows a few fast laps of levels A and B. Hopefully there will be a replay upload feature in a future update, because this game has mad action. http://www.apptheater.com/video/1171/Jet-Car-Stunts--iPhone-racing-game--time-trial-laps Edit2: A 52:99 run of platforming Easy A (#4 as of today). It's just a replay and has much better image quality than video above. http://www.apptheater.com/video/1173/Jet-Car-Stunts--platforming-mode--Easy-A--5299-Gold
I think about everything We are definatly looking into ways to share or upload replays (Doesn't have to be youtube, if we can get open fient to support data, then we could download replays that way). I really want to see how people can get some of thoes times my self. I hope we can find a practical for us to be able to do some kind of replay sharing.
Soon people will buy iphones instead PSP and NINTENDO. TRUEAXIS, please change pictures on a buttons (nitro etc) for something more serious because they are really annoying. Now, they make me think that game was created only for kids.
Just uploaded 1.1 to Apple This version fixes the crash on the iPhone 2g if no headphones are plugged in and accelerometer calibration has been added to the option screens. Once this is approved by Apple, we can start thinking about adding new stuff to the game
so i was playing this game the other day on the bus.. and realized how difficult it was.. then i remembered... the bus was moving and turning.. which controlled the car ingame.. DOH..
When I was working for a well known mobile company, I asked if I could take home a device for the weekend, which happened to have a prototype racing game on it using accelerometer controls. My partner was driving me back home, so I decided to play the prototype. When we got almost back home I was very ill from motion sickness... And swore I would never play an accelerometer based game again, while traveling in a vehicle
