Me too!!! Imnotvery good at itbut managed to play the whole time while I was watching the Redskins miraculous win over the Broncos. For ye not into American football, that's about three hrs with the game!

Would like to see additional levels added earlier in the game to make the difficulty ramp up less steep and a few more Time Trial tracks at Easy and intermediate difficulty.

I was involved in the pre-release thread but what i liked about this idea was the floor so that it would be like a skate arena or something. However, i do also love the idea of a new car that is designed for tricks, maybe with its own level packs? Now that i would gladly pay for!!

For such a beautiful and stylish game...what happened to the boost, air brake, reverse and accelerate buttons?

Could no one have come up with better icons then that?

4 buttons...cut the screen into fours and make the top left the air brake...top right the reverse button...bottom right the accelerate button and finally...bottom left the boost. Icons aren't even needed!

but if you are going to use icons/buttons...at least put the same effort into that as you did into the actual games graphics.

The thing is if you divide the screen into four, then hold the device in your hand and imagine you are playing the game and couple that up with the accelerometer controls - how on earth can you control the game? Plus your hands get in the way of your view of the track. This will not work believe me...

Barring the icons, I hope you like the game :)

I'm sorry this happened to you. Could you explain this further? What steps did you do to do this. I presume you turned off your device, then turned it back on again, then started the game and all the save states had been lost? Can you remember what you were doing within the game before you closed it down?

i tryed to change the default player name to my regular openfeint name and after that i turned off the phone and restarted the game and everything was deleted but all my settings to the game have been saved. e.g. tilt sensitivity and control layout.

I'll take a look at that and see if there is a problem there. Thank you for the information :)

During my first few plays of this game, I thought it was so hard that I would not be able to complete the game, this REALLY demotivates you to play the game. What I later found is that after playing a level 2 or 3 times you sort of get the jest of it and it is much easier to play it again. I am now happy to say that I have completed every single level of platformer . The hardest level in the game for me was impossible B, But I eventually beat it. It was tons of fun and want to go through all of the time trials some other time. The graphics were really impressive and I thought it was just in general awesome. Definatley pick this up if you already haven't, It is a complete and total steal at its current price of only two dollars.

IMPORTANT: There is ONE request though. Make the buttons just a little bit bigger so there is no space between the hand break and the afterburner buttons, and change the images on the buttons, right now they look really ugly!

Fantastic game in the end though

    Graphics: 5/5
Perfect graphics, Could not be any better for a racing game

    Gameplay: 4.5/5
A pretty steep learning curb, So It can be tough at first, But in the end it is really fun

    Sound: 4/5
The sounds were cool, They sort of gave you the feel of being in the cockpit of an airplane

    Controls: 4/5
I had a few issues with the controls, Most commonly confusing the hand break button with the afterburner button, But It is a rare occasion and in the end the controls flow fairly well.

    Overall: 4/5
Its a great game that is defiantly worth picking up.

Jet Car Stunts has definitely become my favourite game, looks gorgeous and the controls are superb, can't resist trying to just squeeze a few more tenths out of my lap times. I think the subtle complexity of the controls/picking when to use the boost just works so well, you always feel like you can go faster and it always feels like your fault rather than the controls when things go wrong. I actually prefer JCS to Trackmania, this for me is the nearest to a 'proper console experience' that I've had on my iPhone so far.

One thing I'd like to see is a 'ghost' car to see either your fastest time so far or the fastest online time, maybe change the buttons in game (accelerator and brake icons as per Asphalt perhaps?).

Thanks True Axis for making such an amazing game, I've already spent way more hours playing this than I'd like to count!

    your attic
So I'm blown away. However there are a few VERY small (yet annoying things) I think need to be changed.
    1. If you mess up before the first checkpoint it should just restart that course completely not count as a reset and keep time going.
    2. I love time trial but I think it should be 3 laps instead of 5
    3. I don't like that it shuts off my music when I try to play

but hands down amazing. And if you could do ghost racing that would be awesome

    1. With only small number of check points, it was felt that doing this would unbalance the game a lot on the first play through. Then, once you try to start beeting top scores, you end up always going Pause->Restart. We considered adding an extra button for restart, but there are already too many buttons.

    2. Obviously we can't change this for existing levels, it would brake the leaderboards... but I'm curious what other people think about that.

    3. Yep, we want to look into playing user music in game for future updates. We only left it out because we where targeting firmware 2.1 untill we ran into some bugs with the way 2.1, our game, and openfient combined.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy the game overall.

How about making the <<| button restart the level with no retries if you haven't gotten to a checkpoint yet. It works as normal if you have.

We all do it anyways; why not just integrate it?

P.S. Oh please oh please oh please, make an achievement for going through the finish checkpoint upside-down. I just did it, and I feel it is worthy of being an achievement.

Okay this is a very minor gripe, but I have to say it. Personally, I don't like how the menu buttons look. They just seem so plain..idk maybe its just me.

    Cool achievment idea;)

As for the <<| button, when people first play through, I would like to discourage them from cheating, but if they really want to, that's ok... if a user wants to cheat, they should be a bit anoyed;) I'm not sure if most new users cheat or not, but I suspect not. I feel a bit like the tracks would need to be redesigned if the first check point logic was changed. But... I do understand your point.

When you get better at the game and want to beat best times, then you always want to restart and never retry, so you just get in the habit of always doing pause->restart, its easier to always do the one action, it gets into your mucel memory. IT's a bit anoying, but less anoying then a new user accidentally pressing a restart button if we added one too.

In other places, I've heard a couple people talk about floaty physics in Jet Car Stunts. Or low gravity.

Beleive it or not, gravity in Jet Car Stunts is double the real world. (haha, Unless I did something horribly wrong;) )

Usually, if I am making a car game, I will atleast double gravity. It makes the car stick to the road a bit better and makes it more fun, but also, there is something wrong with our perseption. We are not used to seeing a car go of a massive jump at 300mph, we are used to seeing how gravity works at lower speeds on smaller scales, like when you drop something. If you see a giant fall, it will look like slow motion.
