We may do this for the level packs :)

hrm.. would a lite version bring more people to the game?

say 2 easy time trials and 1 platform? what do people reckon?

You've all got me convinced, and the price was right. I just downloaded it and played the first 4 levels. Definitely seems fun, though I'm worried it might get frustratingly difficult later on. Even just the fourth level seemed pretty hard to finish in 10 retries or less. I guess I'll find out as I get farther in the game. Definitely hope they can add friend ghosts in a future update. That would be a really nice feature.

Great! What other suggestions from fans do you consider? I really would love a ghost data to race on.

This is possible when Openfeint has functions in the API to upload and download data.

One of the things we will be doing is Challenge mode in Openfeint, where you can send out time challenges to your friends to beat :)

We may consider a lite version at a later date.

How about an endless mode? Where you keep on doing as many laps as you can until you fall once and the final score is the distance covered. That would add a lot of replaybility as well!

Just saw this game this morning. Instant buy for me. Can't wait to spend some time playing later today.

No offense but I personally think it's a stupid idea. I don't know about most, but I NEVER ever use these "email your score to your friend" feature. I just think it's completely pointless.

If the player base becomes big enough, I think a map creator would be insanely awesome. The map creator can be on the PC then uploaded to somewhere and downloaded on the iPhone for others to play. Of course, real far fetched idea, but the best I can think of for such a game.

As for those saying that you're afraid it gets frustrating, I don't know, but I have NEVER gotten frustrated with this game yet. Even when I fail, I'm having fun failing. I've had almost 30 retries on some maps, and I'm only on intermediate. Not to mention the quick resets really help things.

And this is one of the few quality games that have been released recently that run perfectly smooth on my 1G iPod Touch. Props to the devs for supporting 30FPS for my aging device :)

    Never understood this "feature".
I will never bother other people with emails, tweets or Facebook notifications like this.

And dear devs, not just the ones of JCS. Please DON'T put the OpenFeint logo on the icon. IT'S UGLY! If you have got OpenFeint, I will see it IN the app. Then I know about it. But don't mess with your game icons. They are already small. Use it for great artworks. Thanks!

I was able to play the game for a few rounds, and it is awesome!

But one problem, it now crashes when starting up.

After tapping the JetCarStunts logo, the "True Axis" screen displays, then the OpenFeint screen displays. After tapping "I don't want these features" or "Okay" on the OpenFeint screen, the "True Axis" screen is displayed again, then the App quits to the Springboard.

I tried restarting my iPhone and also uninstalling then reinstalling, and so far I'm unable to get into the game.

    I'm using a 1st Gen iPhone with OS 3.1 (7C144).

    Any ideas?

Back to the icon. A good icon is one that you can identify the picture right away, whatever it is. In this case you have to look really close before realizing that you are looking at the back of a car. I'd say get rid of the borders and make the car stand out a little more. Also, I know I'm in the minority here, but the openfeint logo doesn't bother me that much :p

    Again, excellent game.

i'd say no to challenges email, tweets, facebook publishing.. very annoying things, it is PERFECT the way it is now.. no annoyance to anyone..

as for the open feint logo in the icon, i am ok with it..

regarding the level editor.. i think it isnt a good idea, trusting "users" to build 3d maps...
    i see 1% normal looking,
    10% dumb,
    50% empty,
and 39% have no clue, random blocks anywhere

restricting the levels allows greater replay value as users will strive for the best scores..

in terms of DLC for extra maps, i dont think it is a good idea, extending the game to have additional maps for particular levels or unlock an even more insane mode as a free update is the most desirable solution.

This is a know issue for 1st gen iPhones. We are in the process of fixing this for an update.

There are two work arounds for this:

    1. Play the game in silent mode
    2. Play the game with head phones on

I'm sorry if this has caused you problems.

I agree. We already own the game so we already know it has openfeint. we don't need it on the icon. leave the logo to the appstore icon so people will know it has openfeint.

If they don't add DLC, how can the devs keep supporting the game? Well of course free is always desired, but it is unfair to the devs, and the quality tends to drop for that kind of price.

have a look at pocket god.. largely successful.. DLC there is just to customize appearances but not affect gameplay

for games with DLC, it is deceptive to existing users and seen as greed, unless the DLC offers a new style of gameplay which warrants almost another game title, then perhaps it would be worth it..

i think focusing on getting more people to join the game would be the best bet. sway people sitting on the fence by making a lite and having new features where the user can't say so..

3GS = motion blur for fast speeds?
