oh well that sucks. What if I have an off day and I screw up two maps? Then I'd be screwed. I hope they change it or something, cuz that would frustrate me immensley
I just have to say (again) how awesome this game is. It's honestly one of the best games i've played on ANY platform. Bravo TrueAxis, bravo indeed.
@TrueAxis IMO: You should change the first image used in the App Store, or the order... Between the five used, the first is by far the less engaging.
It would suck if the tracks were 7 minutes long, but they aren't When you play it, you'll see it's not as bad as it sounds (although the game, in my opinion is pretty tough in general)
I know you can do nothing about this - unless Apple rectify the problem! But when I compare how many users are posting to Openfeint and sales figures, it seems a lot of people are playing pirate versions of the game. You know what 1.99USD for this game is a bargain and so much hard work went into making this. I mean 1.99USD is crap all in real terms and yet people want to steal from us. Anyway, lets hope the game sells beyond the number of jailbroken devices out there...
Sorry to hear that TrueAxis.. It's a sad reality that many devs have to face because of f-ers that choose to pirate a game because they're too cheap to buy it. Thankfully, that rate Jet Car Stunts is going, it will make it into the Top 100 in the US and then your sales will really start to take off.
dang man that blows. Maybe you should make a free version instead, then if people like it make an in-app purchase thing to unlock the full version in that game. That stops piracy.
Yeah, I think a lot of devs should start using the "ngmoco method". Since you can't pirate in-app purchases- just release a free version with like 1 or 2 levels and then just charge $2 to unlock everything else. It basically kills 2 bird with 1 stone and ensures you don't lose any profit. This goes for any game.
That's what I hate about jailbreaking. Everyone always says theyre doing it just for the customization and jailbroken apps and that theyll never pirate games. Theyre liars. I only jailbroke once and that was before the App Store ever came to existence. Once it was announced I did a restore and updated the firmware. Apple needs to get on the ball and add in some customization features so that less people will jailbreak IMO.
I don't think you understand what's been explained... Everytime you start a level you get 10 retrys. If you finish with 10 or under this goes towards unlocking for the next set of tracks. All you need to do is finish 4 levels under 10 retrys and you will get the next set of tracks. Even if you take 76 tries on a track - the next time you play it you still start with 10 retrys. I hope that's been explained
Oh! I see how you're confused. You can restart any level at any time and it'll reset you "retries". You just don't get to start at a checkpoint. So you can't really get "stuck," you just need to start all the way from the start of that one level. Understand?
This game is freakin' awesome, it's probably my all time favorite game on my ipod, and I have a lot! This game should have been like 5 or 10 bucks, but two was an absolute steel! I've spent 5-8 bucks on games that I haven't played as much, heck, I've spent 5 bucks on games that I've only played for like half an hour at the most. I've gotten gold medals on all the beginner, easy and intermediate levels and on the first time trial, and I am totally loving this game. It can be quite frustrating until you get used to the controls, but once you do, this game is a masterpiece. I haven't seen a single drop in framerate yet, and the graphics are absolutely incredible, don't know how you guys did it! I really like the sunset levels, and I don't know if they are already in the game, but night time levels would be sweet. Thanks for the awesome game, can't wait to finish my homework so I can play more.
Iv been playing this for quite a bit of time now. I have to say I love the learning curb. So farthe game has been challenging but not fustrating from the start. I'm now on the last hard level .
Now how can we help advertise it so this becomes the top racing game, not enough people know about it..
Am I the only one who thinks this game is a tad bit difficult? The learning curve seems to be pretty steep, and I'm stuck on like Easy D...
Ha, glad I'm not the only one It's not frustrating, but the difficulty ramps up quickly IMO. I personally would like to see some sort of mini-tutorial at the beginning, but that's just my suggestion. p.s. some type of video capture/upload would be freaking awesome, though not sure how feasible this would be...
Yea I'm still on easy B or something lol. It's pretty tough but I think the challenge is kind of refreshing at the same time
F*ck! For two dollars? When I jailbroke my iPod (in fact before the AppStore), that was certainly not for stealing 2 buck games from independent devs... =( I respect Jailbreakers for customisations, homebrews, etc., but those kevins are really lame. BTW, in-app purchase seems to be a good solution (are purchases memorized for reinstalls?) What the percentage customers/thieves for JCS (if not private)?
So..I've known about this game for awhile but was hesitant to purchase it [you know, since I'm cheap and all that jazz] but I finally took the plunge..and I am completely dissatisfied with my purchase! Nahhh jk this game is freakin great. So great, that it took a spot on my first page [only my Wifitrak app & 2 games are on my 1st page] so kudos to the devs, this game exceeded my expectations. As others have said, the learning curb is difficult, but not in a frustrating way. Loving it so far, definitely an easy buy for $2.
