This game is ridiculously difficult, and it's great!! I'm a casual gamer, so difficult games even when they are good I usually try to avoid them. What makes this game so good is the checkpoint system and that the tracks are short. It's good to know that I won't spend 20 minutes trying to finish each track and then fail on my 11th try. Also, even if I know I already failed because I'm past my 10th try, I can keep trying until I finish although it doesn't count. The only thing I'm afraid of is that I may get stuck later (I'm currently starting Intermediate), hopefully that won't be the case. Remember for future updates, short tracks with enough checkpoints to prevent frustration, because I believe that's the key point for this game to appeal to the casual and hardcore crowds. Consider and Easy mode with more checkpoints or more replays but no leaderboards, in case people start getting stuck and start leaving those 1-star reviews: "Too hard, deleted it after trying 1000 times to finish the first track". Great game, looking forward to DLC.
There is a problem with sound on 1st Gen iPhones. It has been mentioned here a few times already There are 2 ways to get the game to work: - Put the phone into silent mode; or - Play with headphones plugged in. We will try to get an update out to fix this as soon as possible.
This is a ridiculously good game. Graphics are super smooth, accellerometer and onscreen controls work intuitively, and the physics are awesome. Makes me think of a better, more complicated Snail Mail - it's got that same sort of fun factor. I usually hate accellerometer controls by the way. But these are so good as soon as you think about turning you're already doing it, if that makes sense. So natural
This is such a good game, but I'm stuck on the impossible levels. Best $2 I have spent in a very long time.
Currently 24th in Just Learning A The game an be a bit fustratinf at times but it has the just one more try factor which makes it fun. Definetlu worth the price!
You really have to see it in action. i wasn't that impressed by it when I saw the first screen shots, but it's really something else.
There's a lot of stuff going on under the hood of the game - it's all about keeping the framerate update to be as fast and smooth as possible. This gives the game a feeling of traveling at great speed. To see graphics move like that makes a big difference to how the graphics look. Mind, some people love the graphics style and say how refreshing it looks in a retro way - even in screen shots. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the game
Thanks to all the suggestions and good wishes from people; it's very hard to answer them all. But we do read everyone and we do take notes on what people want for future updates. Once we get the niggles sorted on our next update, it's onto expanding the game and making it bigger and better
Awesome The game is incredible. I love it. Best racing/driving game on the app store. Hands-down the best tilt controls of any racer on the app store, and I've played most of them (big racing fan). You guys really nailed it. Also I love the concept, it reminds me of Rush 2049 (which is a classic). The game is difficult yes, but rewarding. My ONLY complaint: no shadow under the car. PLEASE add this in an update, after playing for a while I've adjusted but it really takes away from the sense of flight to not have that under me when judging my landing. Thank you for making this game. May I also request a super-duper xbox live arcade version?
May I suggest obstacles that are moveable such as piles of blocks that can/have to be knocked down. This would add a whole new dimension to the game, though I realize this would be somewhat difficult to do. Also, I am not sure if this is in the game. I am only halfway through the easy levels. I only move on to another level once I get a gold on the level I am on.
Good to here you like the game. There have been a couple sugestions that having a shadow when you are in the air would make hight easier to judge. However... what about the sunset levels? Or the cloudy levels? Infact, the sun is never supper high in the sky. If we do the shadow physically correctly, do you think it would benifit game play much? I'm just trying to think if it is a practical idea. I don't know why, but i've never had any problem judging the distances in this game. But, maybe thats because I made it
Yeah, I haven't had much difficulty judging distance either. I think a physically correct shadow would just be confusing and distracting.
