Just got some info on this from Openfeint... iOS 4 and a jailbroken device does not work very well with In App Purchase. I guess Apple do not want jailbroken devices using the App Store and make it difficult for users with such devices. Not sure that we can do much about this.
Wow, that's one hell of a lot of things to do to get it to work. Well, if you are jailbroken and the game is legal then this is how to fix the problem - that's if you are brave to do all that
Well ...I have exactly the same device, but I only needed to restart my device to let things work. I would recommend to try my method first .
I did restart it. 3 times. I assume you're not on 4.0 jailbroken. EDIT: I'll try sharmanhall's solution.
Devs- Please follow up and fix my Openfeint impossible silver achievement. I've golded every track in JCS except F, which is a 2 retry silver. The problem is not on my end. I don't need to hear about how much work you have to do and whatnot - it was your decision to not beta test except in-house and release the game when you did. As you've said in the past, such would take you only a moment to fix without upgrading openfeint; just log in with your dev account and do it.
We are looking into it, already narrowed down the problem a lot, but its posible it may require an updated version of the game on the appstore to fix.
Oh, here's a stupid request. Could you guys possibly make it so menu buttons deselect if you drag your finger off them without lifting it? I was playing a level yesterday and got a gold on it but paused it in that point of time after you go through the finish and before your score comes up and you are just flying. I meant to press resume but I pressed too low and hit restart and dragged my finger off the restart button but it still registered the click when I lifted my finger and I didn't get credit for the completion of the level. Not a big deal, just something you might want to implement if you have some down time
Thats the way the cheet menu was designed. Unlocking levels isn't perminant, incase people still want to unlock levels the normal way. Before release, it used to work so that you could drag your finger to select different items, however, when you lift your finger, it tends to move a bit, causing the wrong item to be seleted. So, I've always wanted to make it so that if you drag your finger a long way off, it would deselect, but have never found the time to implement it and test it properly. I do agree, it would be better that way, but there always seems to be something more important to work on.
When you accidentally press a button but don't release, because you realize it's the wrong one. Keep holding the button down and take your other hand and tap the screen anywhere else with a second finger. I do this all the time. The second finger tapping down will de-select the currently pressed down button and won't press it. Sometimes you need to tap the screen with the other finger twice, but it's well worth it and an easy fix. When you are holding down a button, it'll be green, just keep tapping until the button turns white again. It's easy
I've just been having a bit of fun checking out the top times on a few levels and seeing some of the suprising short cuts some people come up with.
OK, We've tracked down and fixed this issue, thanks for letting us know about it. It only effects the Impossible silver achievement, all others should be ok. We are currently waiting for apple to approve 1.4.1 to support the retina display, so this achievement fix wont arrive until 1.4.2 but should also have an OpenFeint upgrade. At the speed at which apple are approving things at the moment, there might be a bit of a wait before that acheivement works.
