Not sure if it makes sence to give an updated screenshot, a lot of the improvement, is that artifact is now just a lot rarer and harder to find. Also, when it does occur it tends to be further in the distance, or when viewing the surface from a more extreme angle which makes it hard to notice because it disapears as you move closer. If I give you a screen shot of the same location, I beleive the effect is totally invisable at that spot now.
Ok, I've been doing final tests with the DLC and it seems to be fine now. We will probably do more testing over the weekend and submit on Monday. The update includes: 26 new platforming levels by DLC at 1.99USD The lite levels by DLC for free. The original impossible levels now in the casual mode iOS 4.0 update but backwards compatible to OS 3.0 for the devices that cannot upgrade Full screen anti-aliasing on iPhone 3gs and iPod 3rd gen (iOS 4.0) iPhone 4 update for the larger screen (iOS 4.0) Task switching (iOS 4) Framerate a lot more smoother than before on all devices As you can see this will be a very major update since the game was launched and we hope you enjoy all the hard work we put into bringing this update out There is also an easter egg in the game now
All is looking good for a submission sometime today - I must get some sleep - but it looks like we have a green light, unless Luke finds some problems with the build. We are also updating the Lite build as well with all the iOS enhancements. The paid game is now rammed full of levels to keep people happy for months and months
Fantastic news! I've been looking forward to those new levels for what feels like a long while, and I know I'm not in the minority!
Not yet - just the bigger screen size... Been in Australia the iPhone 4 is not released yet. To do the gyro we need an actual device. The kind people at Openfeint tested the screen size for us and reported that the game looked fantastic on an iPhone 4 with the larger screen. I'm sure we will do an update for the gyro soonish
Anyone know how long apple is taking lately for app approvals? It is going to be a very long week or however long it takes to get approved. Any chance of issuing a few provisioning profiles for *beta* testing to a few of us? I finally got gold medals for all the platforming levels. Gold on time trials is proving much harder for me. Still working on the easy gold medals . I am trying to not do any shortcuts for the first attempts at gold.
Well, that's that done The paid and lite versions have been submitted for approval. I guess it's up to Apple now. Anyway, we hope you enjoy the new levels and the iOS 4.0 enhancements
I'm speaking for me here but I'm sure that a lot of other people feel the same way. I want to thank you for your regular posts on this site. It's amazing as a consumer I can interact with the developers. But the fact you take your time and actually keep us updated on little things like you do means a lot. Thanks.........I cant wait for this.. Is the easter egg going to be hard to find????? lol
Very nice, but do you think we'll ever see a universal update? I want to play this on my iPad without it being all fuzzy and hard to play!
We are not sure if we want to release the iPad version. There is a version that runs on the iPad but with a larger screen you can see how much low detail went into the levels... we are still thinking about it but we are in the line that Jet Car Stunts 2 will have a bigger impact on the iPad with high detail levels and shader effects.
